A top tier dining experience, Cafe Fiore is absolutely the best restaurant in Tahoe. I dine here every time I visit and it is always exceptional. The menu is both delicious and creative. The ambience is magical—elevated and intimate. The service is impeccable. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Reservations are hard to come by, so reserve weeks in advance! They cancelled our reservation just before dinner because apparently we weren't planning to order enough food. My girlfriend and I were so looking forward to having a romantic night at this place. We made a reservation way in advance and were excited for this place weeks before visiting Tahoe. The night of the reservation, we had some food before. When they called us to tell us that the table was ready, we mentioned that we were not feeling too hungry and were planning to only get desserts and drinks, and maybe an appetizer. They told us that it wouldn't be a big enough order to justify sitting us, and they have a line of people waiting to get in, who are willing to pay more. So, they cancelled our table and didn't allow us to come in. It would have been understandable if at the time of the reservation they mentioned that a minimum order amount is expected, but neither their website nor the person on the phone said that. So rude. Service: 1
