I traveled from Houston, to this restaurant because it was highly recommended by my friend. The service was awesome, the blueberry lemonade was delicious, my fish was crispy & seasoned perfectly and the atmosphere was delightful! The cornbread was not my favorite, it was very dry and hard. I asked the server if they could remake it fresh. They remade it, and it was still hard and dry. This was my first time having sweet greens & sweet Mac & chs. I wasn’t expecting that. The Mac tasted like a floral perfume lol. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The service was great! I believe we came when it first opened. I ordered the chicken/waffles. I was not impressed at all with my meal. The wings were extremely big with no flavor. I would go back and try some other things on the menu. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
My first time dining here and I would've given it 5 stars has it not been for me waiting over 40 min for the sweet potatoe souffle that I has already paid for only to be told when I asked what was taking it so long that the cook has burned it but that he could put me another one in the oven. Not only was this not told to me the 1st time to see if I wanted something else but the fact that he "could" put in the oven meant that it wasn't already in there and what? I just wasn't gonna get anything? Aside from this hiccup, the food was great, the music was great (a little too loud but great) and our server, Alanis, was amazing and very apologetic about the mishap with the souffle. I asked her to just bring another order of collards instead and she did. While on the subject of collards, these are sweet AND spicy (very spicy). Although I don't mind sweet greens since I will put a tablespoon in my own greens at home OR eat them with sweet cornbread but I wasn't expecting them to be so sweet. A little too sweet but still good enough to get a 2nd order of them! Also, they were red so maybe tomatoe braised? Not sure but they were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken wings were hot and well seasoned. I also has the Mac n Cheese and although cheesy, it wasn't as seasoned as I'd like it but it still good. I got the Blueberry lemonade because the reviews raved about it, but it wasn't worth paying an extra $3 for it as opposed to getting a soda as it was simply lemonade with blue coloring and 3 blue berries dropped in. It actually tasted more like Kool aid and was entirely too sweet so I didn't get "lemonade" from it at all. But it's Black owned, clean, the food and the service was astounding so I'll definitely drive the 45 minutes to go spend my money there (hopefully while Alanis is working) and I recommend it. This place was AWESOME! My family decided to go somewhere to eat after my daughter's graduation from the University of West Georgia. We live in Atlanta, so we wanted to stop somewhere on the way home. We found this place by googling 'restaurants in Douglasville', and we are so glad we did. They made accommodations for 15 of us with no problem. The food was soooo good!! There was not a complaint about ANYTHING we ordered! Everyone there was very friendly and personable. The owner even came out and congratulated my daughter and thanked us for coming. My 92-year-old father has not stopped talking about the food. I told him we will definitely be making a 'field trip' to Douglasville for another meal. I pray that God blesses this restaurant with much success! The food was fantastic. We had three people dining in for brunch and we all ordered different food and shred. We got the chicken and waffles, shrimp po boy, the burger, side of fries, grits, and Mac and cheese. All of it was fantastic. Service was slow but I assume it’s because they must make everything fresh to order. We were there an hour before we received our food. The wait probably made us enjoy it even more. We also had the mimosas (mango, pineapple, and peach) they were all really good, pineapple was probably our favorite though. Saw everyone getting little cornbread loaves. We were never offered any not sure if they were supposed to be complementary or if everyone knew to order them but us. We were charged $3 each for water that was brought to us that we didn’t ask for. As a person who has worked in the food industry a long time, I personally wouldn’t do that in case the person you are serving is working with a budget. Overall, I would return for the food but as for someone going for the first time my advise is refuse the water if you don’t need it, ask about the corn bread, and be prepared for a wait. After tip our bill came to $65 per person. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Everything on the menu is a hit! This is literally my favorite place to eat. Food is amazing, ambience is top tier, art is unique, and music choice is mellow. Food does take a little longer than I’d like, but it’s always fresh & is cooked to order. The food & service outweigh the wait 95% of the time. & We all know how hard good service is to come by now days. It generally takes about 30-45 mins for the food to come out. That said, if you’re in a rush, on a short lunch break, or about to pass out of starvation, just call your order in to go. Definitely go experience the dine in service when you have time to relax and enjoy. Ok, for starters, the food was delicious!!! Oh my goodness! The French toast was perfect without syrup, add syrup, and have a flavor explosion!! The blueberry lemonade is sooooo satisfying! If summer had a flavor, it would be this lemonade!!! Now the wait, we waited a almost an hour to be seated. We arrived at 11:30ish, it wasn't busy, but I think they may have been short staffed because we didn't eat until after 1. Typically, this is a no-go for me, but the food was worth the wait! I would wait again! I have 2 complaints. 1. The wait and 2. The loud music. It's brunch time, but we were virtually yelling to communicate because the music was too loud. When we first walked in, it was pleasant and subtle, but by the time we sat down, they turned it up...all the way up where it was uncomfortable. This restaurant gets a higher rating because the food is so good and the artwork is pwerful! If it weren't for the wait and the music, this would be close to perfect!!
