I recently visited Basil Cafe with high hopes for a satisfying vegetarian meal. Unfortunately, my experience was incredibly disappointing and left me feeling deeply disheartened.
Upon ordering the paneer quesadilla, I was shocked to discover that the dish contained chicken instead of the promised paneer. This was not just a simple mistake; it was a breach of trust and a clear disregard for my dietary preferences as a vegetarian.
What was even more distressing was the lack of accountability from the staff and management. Despite bringing the issue to the attention of the manager, I was met with indifference and excuses. The manager, who also happened to be the owner, failed to take responsibility for the mistake and instead shifted blame onto the waiter.
As a vegetarian, I value honesty and transparency when it comes to food choices. It's unacceptable for a restaurant to misrepresent its dishes and then refuse to acknowledge its errors. This experience has left me deeply shaken and has shattered my confidence in Basil Cafe's commitment to customer satisfaction.
Overall, my visit to Basil Cafe was a profound disappointment, and I cannot in good conscience recommend it to fellow vegetarians or anyone who values honesty and integrity in their dining experience.

The Ambience is good the food presentation as well as taste are a different matter , Exotic foods are priced cheaper for the College going crowd of Manipal, But the taste and Appearance not that great , Quantity is on the higher side , If you enter try to stick to Normal Indian food ,

Awesome service, awesome food, awesome taste. Menu spread is great. Some portions are heavy and best to share. Good ambience with ample parking. Will visit again for other items on the menu
