We grabbed some friends and headed over to Barking Mad for some drinks and appetizers. This evening we sat in the bar. There are three major sections to the restaurant. The café, the main dining area and the bar. During the summer there is a large outdoor seating area and frequently there is live entertainment on the stage. After ordering some beer and wine, we ordered the Crispy Cauliflower starter. Very tasty and the Spicy Avocado side is excellent. In addition, we ordered two wood fired pizzas. We ordered the Mad Margherita and the Meat Lovers. Both were very good. Overall, service was excellent. Bartender was our waiter and did an excellent job. So even though we were in the bar, the dinner menu is excellent with a lot starters, salads, wood fired pizzas, burgers and entrees. I find the food here to be unique and elevated. Quite delicious. I have had the Traditional Lasagna and Beef Tenderloin and they are filling and very good. Parking is on the side streets and there are free garages. So come on down and try out the food, service and atmosphere. Give the bar a try, or sit in the main dining room. I also highly recommend the brunch. The Eggs Benedict is wonderful, but the brunch food is excellent. Enjoy! I love this Cafe! The staff are super friendly, food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is just the combination of classy and coffee shop vibes. It's the perfect place to take clients for consults and coffee or grab a bite with a friend. The board we got was perfect! Esthetically pleasing and delicious! So unfortunate how this employee treated me. I have never given any place a 1 star rating. I was so excited to try their coffee. When l was asked by the girl at the front counter what l wanted l answered a Decf Coffee. She than said "l don't want to make a pot of that it would be a waste because no one orders Decaffeinated Coffee" so what could l say my friends and l were speechless. We just left and went to Dunkin right down the road. Dunkin was happy to serve us Decaffeinated Coffee and 5 Breakfasts to go... Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

Loved 95% of everything here. Chicken and jalapeño waffles were excellent, breakfast sandwich was amazing, the coffee tasted very fresh and good, service was great. Only complaint was the coffee was so hot when it came out I couldn't even drink it for the first 15 minutes, and the espresso martini was too sweet; minor complaints. Worth checking this place out. The avocado toast was a little long in the toaster. But overall everything was delicious and nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff, too. I'd suggest to add the egg benedict with avocado instead of bacon (pictured) to your menu. It was *chef's kiss*. Love this place! Whether for pick up or dine in. I've been coming here for years but I was really impressed the last time I visited. I came in with my daughter 2mins before the kitchen closed, they took my order as quickly as possible and let me and my daughter sit. The brunch and service, superb as usual 👌🏾. I’ve been here long time ago and decided to give them a try but not sure If I remembered if they were like this. The latte we ordered took a long time to come out and I had to remind the server if the latte was coming out. I ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and it came out kinda cold( slightly warm) but the sauce was hot. Doesn’t seem fresh at all and would not order again. I know exactly why it was cold and it’s because the manager decided to take photos of the meatball dish when it came from the kitchen. He was taking multiple photos and different angles of the dish before the server gave us the appetizer. The crispy tofu dish was decent and could use more flavor. The sandwhich was pretty good and sweet potatoe fries were ok. I spent 62 dollars with tip and I believe there are better spots for brunch/lunch around the area. I've given this place a try about once a year and I'm always disappointed. The coffee is really weak, like you would get at a McDonald's or 7/11 despite having a coffee bar inside the restaurant. I had to order a coffee with a shot so it tasted like good coffee. They just bought me a shot of espresso and it did taste better when I poured it in but I shouldn't have to do that. The Beignets are super doughy and unflavorful but the creme that comes with them is good. I got Huevos Rancheros and it just tasted like salsa. The tostado looked overcooked too. They have a carnitas version of eggs Benedict but it's flank steak. So that's confusing. We had to confirm it's steak. It's actually shredded steak so again confusing. I don't like the decor but maybe that's personal preference. They still show cartoons on the TV in part of the restaurant but thankfully not the part I was sitting in. I really really want this to be a good brunch place but it's not. I would rather go to IHOP or Silver Diner because at least the coffee is good there. If you just want to go somewhere that looks trendy and have mimosas and don't care if the food is good, that's Barking Mad. First time visiting. The wait was under 15 minutes despite it being busy and coming as a party of 2 for walk-in seating. The server was kind and attentive. Loved the crab benedict, highly recommend. Latte & cappuccino were also great. It was a bit loud, but we visited on a Sunday at noon. Moderate price points. You could average $20 a person. A heads up: this is a food centered place with a social environment. This is not a cafe for reading, working, or lingering. Great for food with friends or family.
