Bar Louie has been a bit of a mixed bag for me lately. Let's start with the good news: the service has definitely improved over the past few months. It used to be a bit hit-or-miss, with occasional long waits and inattentive servers. But recently, the staff has been much more engaged and efficient. My last visit, the bartender was super friendly and helpful, even offering recommendations based on my preferences. Plus, my food arrived hot and in a timely manner. Speaking of the food, well, it's...edible. It's not going to win any culinary awards, but it's decent enough for a casual bar bite. The menu is pretty standard pub fare - burgers, wings, nachos, the usual suspects. I've tried a few different things, and while nothing has been particularly memorable, it hasn't been bad either. Just don't expect to be wowed by the flavors. So, overall, Bar Louie has grown on me. The service improvement is a big plus, and the food is reliable enough for a quick bite with friends. If you're looking for a fun, lively atmosphere with decent service and no-frills eats, Bar Louie is worth a shot. Just don't go in expecting a gourmet experience. I really want to like this place but.... I fly in and get here around 10 p.m. on a regular bases...call it 10 times in the last year. I go here because I know it is open and is really close to the hotel I stay at. I sit at the bar. It is not what I would call busy at this time. Food ranges from good to cold and they really just don't care. I called them out on it once with no real correction only excuses. Usually 2 or 3 Bartenders behind the bar. Normally they will get you a drink and a menu sort of quick. After that, you're on your own. They usually don't come back to check on you until you literally flag them down. They seem to spend plenty of time on their phones, talking to each other or they seem to have personal friends as guests that they talk to and get great service. Is it better than the hotel bar and food, yes. Keep your expectations low and hope you get warm food and a good night's sleep. Whoever the night manager is does not care or has no idea what they are doing unfortunately. Maybe I'm the idiot I go back out of convenience. Loved the food!!! But not the service. The host took a while to seat us, we were trying to make it to happy hour. Finally got seated, but was told by waiter that we missed it, even though it just turned 7pm, even though we were waiting on them to seat us. The drinks were yummy and the food again, was amazing. Stop by for a late lunch on Saturday, 11 November 2023, and enjoyed a very delicious meal. The restaurant was short on staff and we waited 20 minutes for a waitress.
