The scones (best in the area) and coffee are excellent. Reel-to-reel playing great music sets a friendly tone. Pretty good coffee beans. Scones were okay. However, the rude customer service from older gentleman was a bit surprising. The younger man was nice and seemed attentive, but I think the older man (was he the owner??) was apathetic and indifferent. A simple “Good morning” and “Thank you” would not kill you, man! I recently visited this coffee shop, and while the coffee and bakery items were quite good, I couldn't help but feel unwelcome due to the customer service. My kid was playing on some old chair with the toys, but the owner seemed visibly stressed about it. It's essential for a neighborhood coffee shop to create a welcoming atmosphere, but this one left us feeling like outsiders amidst some ultra-privileged patrons in this neighborhood.
