Just a nice little diner with great food at great prices‼️ Staff are friendly and helpful. The decor is definitely dated, but you're there to eat, not redecorate the place 🙃 I've never had a bad meal here, and I'm looking forward to trying their chicken pot pie. Very much classic diner food and experience. A group of three people and we enjoyed our meals. I personally found my food very salty but the others were very happy with theirs. Staff seemed a little overwhelmed this past Saturday afternoon. Restaurant is run down with many booth seats being ripped up and taped together. Salt and pepper shakers in the table were quite frankly filthy. Food was okay but I had a strawberry shortcake and I realize there are no fresh strawberries in Michigan this time of year but what I assume were frozen instead were kind of old and icky. Also had the country sausage skillet and it was okay but had shredded hash browns instead of the real potatoes pictured on the menu. I had the gyro. It was pretty good and very big. I couldn't eat all of it. I also had the chicken rice and lemon soup. It was very good! The service was excellent. Always delicious food at very reasonable prices with welcoming service! I would describe the atmosphere as eclectic with largely local clientele that Know where to eat. Menu choices include great coney s to home-made comfort specials. I stopped for lunch at noon and the place was fairly empty. This is a small-town diner with a large menu. My server came right over and took my order. I went with the special, Hot Turkey with mashed potatoes and a bowl of split pea with ham soup. She brought my drink and soup right away. The soup was really hot, but I could tell just by looking at it that I was going to like it. It was thick and full of ham chunks. You could totally tell this was a homemade soup, it was one I would get whenever it was on the menu, VERY GOOD. After the soup, she brought me my meal, and everything looked good. The turkey was hand carved, but it looked dry to me. Good thing there was gravy on the meat because it really needed it. The mashed potatoes were good, just lacking in flavor. They really needed salt added. Overall, I would come back, there were enough good things about this place (service, prices and homemade food) to deserve a second chance. I will be back.
