Wu’s has always been our spot for delicious, good quality sushi. This was my first time trying this location and we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was fresh and delicious. The crab salad was great, the yellowtail tuna was perfect and the Mongolian beef was packed with flavor. We ordered a few rolls of sushi, all great as usual. The service was a bit slow, which I was surprised by given that it wasn’t busy. Our waiter insisted that all the portions were very small, advising us to order more, but when the portions came they were quite large and he didn’t swing by our table often, but overall he was pleasant. The space itself is sparkling clean, smells great, and is beautifully designed. Will be returning! The food and customer service is fantastic , but it feels like you're at a circus that causes sensory overload!... You have fire explosions to your left and to your right, you have. people playing drums and singing in a foreign language "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands", You have people tossing broccoli to you trying to catch up without hands..... By far, it is my favorite place to eat. The food is something I would travel hours to eat. The steak is tender and delicious. This place got me not only eating shrimp again....But loving it! Noodles are to die for. But if you go, I highly recommend the hibachi table. Every time we go, we reserve it. It's a wonderful experience with masters of their craft. It's always a fun time. I look forward to this place for weeks ahead of going. It's so amazing. Thank you for an awesome experience every time! Delicious food. Complimentary edamame appetizer. Large portions. Had Cashew chicken. The chicken pieces were huge. My husband had Mongolian Beef. The beef was tender and also very large pieces. Reasonable prices. Has complimentary valet parking. Self parking can get tricky if its crowded. They also have a hibachi section and incredible looking sushi combinations. Family friendly. I miss the Kampai in Mt Prospect, but keep trying hibachi places hoping one gets close to the food there. I had the golden shrimp dinner. I didn't think the sauce had that good of a taste. The shrimp were fine. The veggies were good. I didn't care for the noodles at all (really just a filler). Best thing was the chicken fried rice. We have been to this location multiple times for birthdays, etc, and everything is normally excellent. Until last night. We were seated promptly. They did seat others next to us which yes, this is what they do at the Hibachi restaurants. We know this. However, this woman did nothing but complain. It did put a damper on the birthday we were there to celebrate. Then the food. I want to give it rave reviews like in the past. However, I can not. The salad and soup were excellent. The rice and vegetables were super good. The filets were cooked to perfection. However, the noodles were not so good. Being a staple that is made for almost everyone at every meal, their should be no mistake in them. These tasted like flour and doughy. Not cooked enough? It was a weird flavor. The rest of my party said the same thing. This will not deter us from going back. We truly love going to Wu's over all.
