Best BBQ I’ve had in Kansas! I had the Ribs and hot link, everything was so good. Glad I tried this spot, ribs are so tender, good sauces. Visiting from Texas. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Absolutely great service and good BBQ. Ribs were tender. I asked for our brisket to be lean and cut thick, and they delivered. Pulled pork and chicken were also good. Okra was nice and crispy. Toast was thick and good. The potato salad tasted good but was very runny. Cole slaw was very good. Smoked beans were good. Sometimes, they have burnt ends, so ask if they have any if you want to try some. The burnt ends were squishy with a nice bark, so it was good in my book. The BBQ sauces were good but didn't stand out as excellent to me, but I rarely use sauce on my meats. Mini bar for pickles, jalapeños, and banana peppers. The only complaints that I had were that the plasticware was very cheap and flimsy, and the napkins were thin and small. Give us some decent plasticware and put some paper towels on the tables. Came by as I had never had "Kansas" BBQ and all the locals directed me to Kansas City itself but I didn't have time for a detour just for self-titled BBQ. I stopped by Woodies and was recommended the brisket or ribs, and I got the 1 meat dinner with fries and baked beans. The sides were better than the last dozen restaurants I had been to. The brisket was a bit dry from what I was used to but not unpleasantly so. All the sauces were amazing, I personally loved the golden sauce. Staff was friendly and as I was leaving I had to let them know what other states they had beat when it comes to BBQ. Didn't get a chance to try the ribs or else they may have beat out St. Louis as well! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
If you eat bbq all over the country and know what good bbq really is, you will be somewhat disappointed. It's not too bad. Ribs are tender but look like they were baked after they were smoked. Too sloppy. Fried okra was way over salted. Fries were OK. Brisket was on the dry side. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
