Went in for dinner. There were only 2 other people there. Food took almost 35 minutes to get to us, some of my food was undercooked. They had no pies, but they say "best pie in America". Server didn't understand what we were asking for. Not a good experience, and I've had better in the past. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
I've been going to Village Inn since I was a kid. My son loves it and we've been going since he was a kid. Food is always good and better than Denny's, IHOP, etc. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Corned Beef Hash and Eggs

I am impressed. We ate here for the first time today and the person that sat us was such a lovely man. He was polite and made sure that we got a nice clean table. The service was a little slow but they were really busy and everyone was doing their best. The food was so tasty. My hashbrowns were crispy and although I didn't like the texture of my pancakes because I found them a little dense they were delicious. They have a great buttery vanilla flavour and are well cooked. The bacon is excellent. It's not that usual stuff that tastes like salt but instead it's like biting into crisp, hickory, porky heaven. Even my husband's sourdough toast was well toasted without being burnt and buttered to all the corners.... and their orange juice was. It was just good you should try it. It's amazing how comforting it is to have a well made breakfast. We will definitely be back to try their burgers. My 1st time here. I was excited to eat at & support a local business. And happy to see they serve breakfast all day. Ordered a make-your-own omelet with veggies & dairy free. Unfortunately our server forgot to mention I needed it dairy free due to a food allergy so I had to wait to get my corrected order. And when I asked for a 3rd cup of hot water they brought the hot water carafe & just placed it on my table. Not sure if it's cause they were under staffed & the other server seemed to be in training so that may be why we got less than ideal customer service. And cause of that I'll probably not eat here again. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

There are many places to eat that serve good food in Federal Way. The Village Inn does way better than just that. They consistently serve great food from a great menu with outstanding staff. The owner (he is way cool) is often there making his guests feel very special and appreciated. My wife and I have eaten there for years before her Barbershop rehearsals. We always enjoy the background music selections played on the best restaurant sound system in the city. This is a safe place to entertain your family and to have business meetings over breakfast, lunch or dinner. And the price is right! What a pleasant surprise to find this place! I am totally sold on the breakfast menu based on that delicious “Smothered Breakfast Burrito.” They got that so right I’m going to vouch for the rest of the breakfast menu! Admittedly, it was more of a brunch burrito and I was extra hungry 😋; truth be known, that burrito is suitable for two meals, shared or otherwise. Wife got the two egg plate with cubed potatoes and English muffin (potatoes were too crispy for her and the muffin looked a little beat up) but “all gone” by the end of the meal. Personal note: avoid the table with the pass through window that opens up to the register if you need a quieter venue. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $10–20

First time visit, but definitely NOT the last! They're currently repaving their parking lot, so don't be deterred to visit because there's plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant. We were the only diners when we visited, which was perfect for me.😉😀 I'm so, so impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant!! The music was great! The food (taste, prices, presentation, etc.), drinks, and service was on-point! We’ve found us another special dining destination. Kudos to ALL the staff!👍🏽😊
We stopped here for breakfast on our way from Seattle to Oregon and were able to get a seat immediately at 9am on a Sunday. There were several other diners but it wasn't crowded and some of the tables were obviously regulars, always a good sign! I had the Smothered Breakfast Burrito with carnitas and it was large and full of flavor. They claim to have the best pies in America so I tested that with a slice of pumpkin pie. I can't confirm that they are the best in America, but definitely the best I've had in Washington! The service was fast and friendly and the coffee was good. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I thought this place was pretty cool! The food was good and the owner was very nice! We were looking for something to eat when this place that we drove by for years caught our eye! From the owner we learned that him and his wife has owned the place for 41 years! Definitely worth the support and thank you for the great service! Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast
