I was so excited to show my best friend, daughter and friends the lovely coffee shop I had found with my husband a few weeks previously. It was a lovely sunny day, so the five of us sat outside. Having waited twenty minutes , with no member of staff in the shop itself, I popped in and asked the lady in the coffee tea shop next door if we could order some drinks. She was very sweet, but when she saw there were 5 of us, and no one else outside or in, explained that she couldn’t manage to make 5 drinks as she in between the two shops, and that we would have to go upstairs to the tea room. No problem, as I didn’t even realize there was a tea room upstairs! On arrival in the half empty room with plenty of seats, a rude woman came out and asked how many there were of us. She huffed and puffed, looking around at all the empty tables, made a big fuss of moving the furniture, completely unnecessarily, not once cracking a smile. She then threw 5 menus down on the table and stormed of. Another twenty minutes passed, and she blatantly ignored us whilst happily serving the few other customers. She then proceeded to clean two tables. Sadly we felt humiliated, and decided to leave. Such a shame. Never to return. Awful experience.
