I am not a fan of the chains selling large cookies with weekly rotating flavors. To me they are underwhelming and while the pictures look great on social media, they all seem to taste the same and have a similar texture.
I am happy to find that there is a true cookie artisan close to home. My recent visit to Urban Cookies in Scottsdale was a very positive experience. Stepping inside, the aroma of freshly baked goodness instantly hit me, and the display case overflowing with a variety of cookie flavors was a feast for the eyes.
I opted for a dozen with flavors such as Cowboy, Milk and Dark Chocolate Chip,Pineapple Coconut, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Almond Raisin and Lemon Pistachio. The dough was soft and chewy, and each flavor tasted unique along with a perfect harmony of textures and tastes.
I will be back for more cookies and to try the delicious looking cupcakes.

Individual Cookie Favor
My family and I have visited Phoenix the last two years for my youngest son's birthday. This is the second time we've ordered cupcakes from Urban Cookies to celebrate. The staff is always friendly and the cupcakes are delicious. Today my son joined me for pick up and got to pick out a free treat. He was thrilled to get an extra treat! Thanks for making it easy to celebrate a birthday, even for out of towners. We will be back each year we're here!
