My visit here was a bit underwhelming. My fiancé and I traveled from Columbus after some stellar recommendation of this spot. Upon arrival, the place was somewhat busy, and we were a party of 6. Two booths were available that could accommodate us, but we stood waiting for a bit over 20 minutes before being sat in one of those booths. When we finally got seated, the booth was dirty and very sticky. The service was otherwise less than average; we had empty glasses for most of our stay and were only asked how the food was just before paying. I had the burnt ends brisket, collard greens, and jambalaya rice - it was phenomenal! Two group members had VERY overcooked ribeye steaks, and another member’s ribs were dry. The portions were large and otherwise well-seasoned. Still, I wouldn't consider returning. Took 45 minutes to be seated while there were empty tables available. Bar tender was horrible. I asked for my tab three times and never got it. This was our second time there for steak. We both had ribeye steaks They were awesome again. I would this place against any steak house in northeast Ohio. How lucky are we to have this in Lorain county. Our waitress was very good also. Great place to eat. Prices are very good also. Very reasonable priced. You need to go there. Arrived shortly after opening and was seated immediately. Our server, whose name escapes me, was a trainee, and had her trainer not been there, I never would have known. She knew her stuff. They were both extremely friendly and very helpful. We had the smoked brisket and a pulled pork sandwich. Personally, I like a little more heat in the sauce, but it was good besides that. They were both excellent. The garlic-parm fries were very tasty. The jalapeño mac and cheese was interesting as well. We split an apple 🍎 cobbler Ala mode with Carmel sauce. It completed the meal perfectly. The employees are very excited about working there and are enthusiastic. Will have to come when there is entertainment. Highly recommended 👌.
