We were discriminated against by the owners of Turners Kitchen & Bar of Leesburg Florida, based upon my dates medical condition and her fully trained medical alert dog. When we walked in, Alison seemed reluctant to seat us and gave us a reservation time of 6:40 p.m. which was a 20 minute wait, she paused, and said "Let me see what I can do." She returned with Jack and the two of them proceeded to question my date as to what service her medical alert dog performed. They claimed to know the law and wanted to violate my dates hippa rights, demanding to know the exact medical condition the dog is trained to alert to. When it became obvious to Jack that my date knew her rights and did not wish to devulge the exact nature of her medical condition, Jack adjusted our reservation time 7:30 p.m. which is 1/2 an hour before they close, enough time to seat us but not serve us. We are apparently not the first customers to be turned away at the door because of medical condition, there are prior complaints of similar treatment. Meal type Other Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
