A fun place to stop and enjoy after a ski up the mountain! A nice fire place and a warm feel. There’s some good snacks and some food to eat along with hot cocoa and water. Cross-country skied here from the Trapp Family Lodge. What a wonderful experience, great to have a destination. Gentleman working there lives on premise. He was a treat to talk too. I found some Chaga mushroom on the birch tree outside, and he gave me some hot water for chaga tea. Was fun to meet the other skiers, while sitting on the porch, watching the birds.

Enchanting! Great for families!! Has a fantastic cross country range with 40 miles of tracks. 15 minutes to Stowe downhill skiing. Make their own bread and beer, all very good. Three options for lodging: rooms in the lodge, guest house cabin-like 2 bed room appartments and larger villas. If you are a Sound of Music fan you will enjoy staying in an Austria inspired environment, The lodge was started by Maria and her family and their hospitality certainly continues to be present today.
