Very underwhelmed. I was so excited for this place. Maybe dine in is the way to go. I ordered the half slab rib dinner, it came with fries, coleslaw and a roll. Presentation is not exciting. Hardly any sauce on my ribs and no extra sauce on the side. My fries were pretty good but they're fries. Coleslaw was quite warm. Not sure if that's the norm for this place. I ate it anyway, I'll know if I get sick tomorrow whether or not it should have been cool. The atmosphere for pickup sucked. You walk into a crowd of people. Some waiting on tables others picking up food, others drunk and screaming in your ear about paying their tab. It's definitely a bar vibe at 7 pm on a Friday. Service was meh. The girls at the register don't greet customers in the order they arrive. They take care of the regulars first. Very fake friendly vibe. The portion size on my coleslaw was also ridiculous. It's in a jello shot cup. $30 after tip and I feel just as underwhelmed as I do at most food establishments post covid. I was hoping I found a hidden treasure but I was mistaken. Its highly unlikely that ill be coming back. But if I did i really wanted to try the bourbon chicken and I'd dine in for sure during the day. After reading so many great reviews about Trader Jack's, we were honestly disappointed by both mediocre service and food - with the exception of the lobster bisque which was exceptional. Otherwise, my broccoli and rice were barely warm, my baked garlic shrimp weren't as "large" as I'd hoped, and they were served swimming in a sea of butter. Our server, while polite enough, was absent during most of our meals. Walnuts were included with the apple dumpling, and even though I would've been delighted, nothing was mentioned about them on the menu, and my companion happens to be allergic to walnuts. The new server, who finally appeared, asked if she should bring another dumpling without nuts. Maybe it was just an off day, but all said, I'd probably pass on a second meal at Trader Jack's. The lobster bisque is superb. The pepper pizza is flavorful and cheesy. Their wings are large and the signature sauce is the best. One problem is their boneless wings have many little shards of bone in them. I showed them to the waitress and she said she would show the chef. The manager did not come over for the issue.
