Review 1: Food amazing Pasta patatine, lovely home cooking, flavourful but not overwhelming Lasagne home cooked and delicious Polpete al sugo *perfection* The insalata mista just iceberg lettuce and tomatoes but PERFECT and so fresh They offered free limoncello but we were too full We will be back! Review 2: we went back the next night because it had been so good. This is where things fell down, which was very unfortunate: They rushed us out because a couple were waiting and that wasn't not nice Husband had fried balls I had fried stuffed pumpkin flowers - definitely delicious Then I had swordfish Husband had pasta specialty I had lemon delice Ant had tiramisu We ordered a bottle of wine €12 it was good Waitress was a bit annoyed when I asked for large wine glass We were not offered limoncello as we were last night because they wanted us off our table, to give it to new people waiting The waiter made a joke about counting five minutes because I asked to wait between courses (I wanted ten mins it’s not unreasonable to want to digest your food!) I get it They want the $ But it really left bad taste in mouth What they should have done: Tell the couple waiting that they can sit inside or will have to wait longer until our table free. Offer them a drink? Make them at home? Don't leave them waiting on the footpath outside, which made us feel rushed and uncomfortable as they waited for our table. So that was very disappointing and it turned a lovely experience into a bad one.

Trattoria offered a lively and enjoyable experience, being a fun family-owned spot conveniently located within walking distance from our hotel. The atmosphere was filled with smiles, laughter, and even some singing from the staff. Given the popularity, I'd advise making a reservation to secure a spot. While our overall dining experience was very good, the only hiccup was that the steak arrived well done, which was a bit disappointing. My wife and I are visiting the area from Vancouver Canada. As tourists in the Sorrento area, we found this particular restaurant to very different than most restaurants in the area. The restaurant appears to be family run and the staff welcomes tourists (and locals from what I could see) as if they are family and treats everyone with respect. Their food is excellent and their prices are very reasonable given the area. We tried appetizers, pasta, seafood, and desert. The atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing. The staff are happy, singing, amicable, and they clearly understand people from all parts of the world are visiting their restaurant and welcome them in with open arms. Also, the staff appear to be very big Napoli football fans which makes the environment more fun as a sports fan! In a 10 day span, my wife and I have been here twice for dinner and we are hoping to visit once more before leave the area for the season. Thank you for the amazing restaurant experience. This hidden gem is lovely. A small tavern like restaurant, the family is fun and outgoing. They sing to the music playing inside. Not cheesy music like some movie scene, but modern music playing from a playlist. The waiters and waitress poke at each other and have fun, and you feel like having fun and part of the group. We did not order a much food, but the fritto misto has several fried items that we delicious, crispy, and not greasy or heavy. Then, the lasagna. It looked like a huge serving. Amazingly, it was not heavy at all. The cheese, sauce, and pasta were in perfect balance. For me, it was the best lasagna I have had in Italy so far. Finally, this place is just off the beaten path. Not on Corso Italia or on Piazza Tasso. It just a few hundred meters South of Piazza Tasso. Check it out. Highly Recommend. Took a day trip to Sorrento on a whim. Started researching places to eat on the train ride over from Naples and finally settled on this spot after reading all the positive reviews. So glad I did! Everyone on the restaurant was warm and super nice. The food was amazing. We got lasagna and spaghetti and meatballs. I’ve been thinking about both, since! We also got the tiramisu which I have to say, was super disappointing. It was dry (not sure why the lady finger cookies aren’t dipped in coffee and alcohol?), hard (you can even tell from the photo) and tasted like the fridge. Which is really unfortunate since tiramisu is one of my favorites. Don’t let that stop you from Visiting the restaurant though, I’d just suggest skipping the tiramisu, unless you can ask them if it’s fresh. They accept credit card too, which is always an added bonus. I would stop here again next time I’m in Sorrento! The place feels like the genuine Italian restaurant. No frills or gimmicks, just good food and a lively atmosphere. The price is amazing for what you get. It'll get loud if Napoli is playing football (soccer). Just a little out of the way from downtown Sorrento. this is exactly what I had hoped for for my first trip to Italy. delicious food with a great staff. We just wanted to eat, drink, and have fun and they delivered. The hours were correct, the service... extraordinary, and honestly a cheap price for the quality. I'm so happy we picked this place for our last night in Sorrento. you will be very happy if you go here. Do it! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We underestimated the popularity of this place and went straight there, without making the reservation previously. Luckily, there was one table for two free outside. We loved the food! Two plates of spaghetti with ragu and meatballs, one litar white wine of the house, and two starters for about 47-48 euros. Definitely a place I recommend - you get great food for the reasonable price and have a great, local atmosphere!

This place is definitely worth the visit when in Sorrento. It's an amazing, local, family run restaurant. With unbelievably tasty food as prepared by nonna. You can taste the authenticity. It is colorfully and beautifully decorated. The service was intimate and wonderful.
