This club offers its visitors to try German cuisine. Offering nicely cooked fried chicken, beef stroganoff and pork is the unique characteristic of Lindenhof. Here you can drink good draft beer. The cosy atmosphere of this place makes guests feel relaxed and have a nice time. The gracious staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Warm and friendly, greeted when we arrived. Food was ready, hot, plentiful, and delicious. Very casual and comfortable atmosphere. Attentive volunteers took very good care of us. First time here and it wasn't for me. The Friday night buffet was chaotic at best. We came for a German meal and found fried chicken. Well, other people did. I didn't get any because of the free-for-all and the kitchen couldn't keep up. So, I paid 15 plus tip for a German meal and got a live accordion concert instead. Went and got Wendy's afterwards because I didn't get any food. However, if you like being uncomfortably close to strangers and you enjoy them bumping into you this is the place for you. If you enjoy a rude and pushy employee, again, this is the place for you. I believe they have nothing there worth returning for but, all of that said, please give this place a try. Very nice place for more unique German-centric foods in the Peoria area.bThe atmosphere is great and they have live music from time to time. Their Facebook page has the menu if you want to know ahead of time. This is a wonderful Friday night buffet spot! Every Friday they have a small buffet featuring a menu of salad, bread and butter, a couple potatoes dishes, a vegetable, red cabbage, and either a German main course, like Schnitzel or ribs and chicken and stroganoff. We love it! It only cost $15. Did I mention they have giant beers $6 and teas $2? They also have a bake sale with pies. There is usually an accordian player offering up some great traditional songs too! This is a very busy place and you seat yourself. Tables are long hall style seating. Remember to bring cash or check. Credit/debit not accepted, but they do have an ATM if you forget. Friday buffet style German food this is a club, not a restaurant so expect casual. Banquet table seating, we got to meet another couple, fun. Accordion music helps authenticate the atmosphere. Sausages were grilled on the flat top and delicious. I'm particular about sauerkraut and red cabbage dishes. These rated high in my book. Both were tart and flavorful. The cabbage juice wasn't thick like some places. I like that, others may miss not having thick sauce and sweetened kraut but I loved it. Volunteer workers were friendly and kept tables cleared promptly. Pay with cash or check only. First time but not our last! Had our reception here this weekend (also members of the society and come for Friday night dinner). Mary and everyone went above and beyond to make everything go smoothly, and Chef Bob delivers as always and expertly handled a gluten free option for us with seperate preparation and servings. Highly recommend renting out for any gathering, seating up to about 130 people I believe. Great food and bar, stocked with plenty of imported beer. Thanks again! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
