The ONLY reason this isn’t a 5 star review is because David. Hannah at the bar is a true angel! We decided to sit at the bar and sat ourselves at a high top table (which typically is considered the bar.) We were unaware that the only 2 tall tables in the bar section were not the bar to which David ignored us for 15 minutes. When we finally got his attention he told us “y’all sat yourselves, I’m busy”… We are big customer service people and this was clearly a mistake on our part. Kindly let us know and let us know how to correct it instead of disregarding and disrespecting us. Hannah came over and asked if we were okay and said she would take care of us. She also explained that to David when he was on the other side of the bar talking to another waitress about how we sat ourselves and we can wait until he has time. We love Jalapeño Tree and this was the only time we have met a bad egg. Typically their food and service is top tier! Boo David.

Ordered combo nachos, received all beef. Beef was scraped off half the food, and chicken was dropped on top. Not reheated. Beef was chewey, and chicken was dry. Service was sub-par. It has never really been good, but I wanted to try one more time. This is the last time. You know it's bad when the nachos aren't even good. Great Mexican food. The meat was cooked all the way without the after taste or being watery which is the case in so many Mexican restaurants. I ordered Enchilada plate and it came with Tacos too and they were really good. Plenty of meat and tasted really good. Black beans on the side could have been skipped but rice tasted home made and delicious. I ordered white sauce which is somewhat rare to find in most places. We also ordered steak and it was really really good. Tasteful and delicious. They have full bar but I could not settle on a drink. Regular Margarita, Tijuana Tea or Old Fashioned... all were subpar and tasted watered down. My company was real happy with her regular margarita. Since the food was great I will visit this place again and stick to beer for my drinks.... probably cheaper too. Ambience was loud (colorful) and typical Mexican style but with more space and no dirt floor and no carpet.... standard fare. Music was not too loud, (a tremendous blessing to have and hear conversation) and the wait staff was courteous and spoke good English too. Thank you for that. In house fresh tortilla factory and that was a treat. Chips were served hot right as we came in and hot served chips are rare and taste so much better. If only they had warm salsa... that would have been a double treat. They had a robot (pictured) to serve as maitre d but did not see that in operation. Wow.
