Had a chicken over rice when the store just opened, was one of the worst halal chicken over rice I’ve had in my 30 years in NYC. I literally didn’t even finish and threw away. The experience dining at this restaurant was almost like ordering at Chipotle but halal. Very clean food, great service but I found it a bit crowded inside. Update 9/13/23 - The amount of food they give now is much less - I guess they have more customers now thanks to my review since it’s been viewed over 700 times. It’s unfortunate bc there is another halal food that serves the same food in Stonybrook so I’m going to give the other place a chance! Original review: Discovered this place close to Stonybrook University. Food is delicious and a good portion for your buck. For meals, we had the grilled chicken with white rice and the spicy chicken with seasoned rice. The cilantro sauce has a nice kick to it and the masala fries are delicious!

So found this great halal place near Stony Brook University, very clean and staff are really friendly. Look for Robin, he served us and was very generous with the amount of food. You can customize your plate with your mix of chicken and gyro and other options are available as well. They have a good menu to choose from. The gyro meat pieces were a bit too big for me and this was the first time I could not finish my halal food and the amount of food they give you is good for two meals, at least for me. Been loving this place ever since it opened! One of my favorite spots to eat at by the LIRR and a huge fan of their rice platters. The workers here are amazing and the service is above and beyond. Best spicy chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Philly cheesesteak tastes as good as it looks. The halal platter is also unique because they have feta cheese and several signature sauces. Also, instead of “over rice” or “over salad” you can get your platter “over fries,” which is easily the best option. It’s sleek on the inside and I love the decor! Service Take out Meal type Lunch
