The Front Porch Bake Shop made the cupcakes and Wedding Cake for my wedding this past weekend. The cakes were delicious and had open communication with delivery.
Susan did an outstanding job on our wedding cake. We had a specific vision with edible flowers that we wanted to bring to life and her work of art was a spectacle to behold at our wedding! She was kind, communicative and thorough. Thank you Front Porch Bake Shop!
The woman who makes the cupcakes is super friendly. There are multiple ways to pay just in case you don't have cash she takes card, venmo and check. And the cupcakes were so delicious. Love the rotating flavors every week!
Edit: 2 years later and we had Susan make our wedding cake and cupcakes. We also had vegan brownies.q She was absolutely wonderful to work with. Her tasting was absolutely amazing and we were able to taste a variety of combinations of cakes, filling and icing. It was such a personal experience. She was super responsive whenever we had a question. Of course the cakes and cupcakes were delicious.
This is such a wonderful small business in the area. If you haven't been you're really missing out.
How do I cram everything I want to say about The Front Porch Bake Shop into one review? I was an early enthusiast of Susan’s baking during “lockdown” in 2020, and have thoroughly enjoyed watching the growth of this brilliant concept. When it was time to order a special event cake for my parents’ surprise 50th anniversary dinner, I didn’t look anywhere else. The Front Porch Bake Shop website is easy to navigate, ordering a custom cake was a breeze, and WOW! The final product was DAZZLING!. My requests were broad: “the best chocolate cake you make, whatever filling you think is best, vanilla buttercream icing, and nice decorations. My parents’ go-to flower is daffodil, but just something pretty.” The cake was spectacular: beautifully iced, ombre yellow, with custom sugar daffodils, gold flake, and color accents adorning a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling. STUNNING and delicious. At least three friends said to me, “That might be the most gorgeous cake I’ve ever seen!” Staff at the clubhouse marveled at it, and when I told some WHS alumni, “Dr. Thackara made it!” they were so impressed. I relied on Susan’s expertise for cake size; she nailed it. I added two dozen of their signature Sea Salt Double Chocolate Chip Cookies to my order, individually wrapped so my family could take them home as favors. Everything was perfect, fairly priced, and efficiently communicated. Do not look anywhere else for your special event cake- this is your first and last stop! Thank you Susan (and Dave and kiddos and staff!) for your delicious artistry!
We drive from Clarks Summit to enjoy the goodies at the Front Porch. Our family has enjoyed the dessert trays at the holidays. The cookies are big and delicious. The hydrangea cake was beautiful. We have never been disappointed with the taste of the treats.

High quality, delicious flavors every time. Cupcakes are beautiful and come in a large assortment. Gingerbread is a favorite of mine, but we've also had their other flavors and really enjoyed the Harry Potter House theme pack. Pairing up with other local businesses for breads and fun events is also a fantastic idea and keeps things fun and spreads the local love. You can order ahead online for weekend pickups or specialty cakes, cookies, etc. Give them a try, you'll be glad you did!
I drive from almost an hour away to buy these baked goods – and it’s well worth the trip! The baker is extremely talented – we’ve tried many different items and everything has been excellent. My family always loves the surprises I bring home from Front Porch Bake Shop. You can definitely tell the difference when baked goods are made with care and using quality ingredients.
