The staff was very kind and personable.
I spent 36 dollars on some blueberry muffins, snicker doodles, and decaf coffee. The baked goods did not have much flavor. My husband wouldn't eat the muffins, although blueberry muffins are his favorite, he usually will down a half dozen himself. I gave them to my parents, they didn't care to eat them either. Very bland.
I ate some of the snicker doodles which were also rather flavorless. I stopped when I bit down on two hard clumps of brown sugar or something of similar texture.
Overall, I was disappointed. There weren't very many products, and it seemed that most were gluten free. Which I'm glad people with that allergy have somewhere to get things, but I was expecting to enjoy their products and purchase them regularly. I think they should widen their products to appeal to the country sweets loving folks who abide in Elderton. Sweets can be healthy, and delicious!
Great bakery and shop and even better owner! Absolutely delicious baked goods with lots of yummy gluten free options! Also love to look at all the neat items available in the store.. it’s worth the trip or a must stop at if in the area!
