Got the burger because they were out of prime rib. Was good. But not great. Will go again.

Being a regular at their Mexican restaurant, we were excited to try this one.
We were disappointed by how loud the music was, as we couldn’t hold a conversation without talking very loudly.
We ordered 2 burgers, 1 with fries, and the other with home fries.
The home fries were a little over cooked . The burgers were good, and we left very full. In fact, my wife had to take some of hers home. We liked the self serve soda.
Paying before we ordered isn’t a big deal to us, we didn’t mind that at all.
The biggest disappointment was we wanted to try the prime rib chili. The lady at the next table had a very big bowl of it. So we asked for a bowl to take home. We paid 11.95 and expected to get a to go container comparable to what the lady at the next table had. However, the amount we were given was very small in a small white to go cup, probably about 3/4 to 1 cup. For that amount we think it wasn’t worth the 11.95 we were charged.
Getting charged extra for Credit/ Debit cards is understandable if it’s a small purchase.
But spending over 50.00 for 2 burgers and fries and 2 sodas and a to go container of chili, we feel we should’ve got charged for cash price.

Fiance and I stopped in on a Thursday evening, only one other table in the restaurant side. Sat down with menus and server stopped by to ask if we had any questions after an appropriate amount of time. Ordered 2 burgers and some mozzarella sticks. Appetizer was served hot and tasted great but didn't hold a candle to the burgers. The patties were juicy, and had great flavor! They had a good selection of options (we got a mushroom and Swiss and their snake bite burgers). Staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal and price was on par with the quality. Yes it's a little more expensive than say The Fern but the quality and taste matched that extra cost.

I knew going in that we'd order at the counter, I've seen positive and negative reviews about the food so I was reserving judgement for a firsthand experience. We sat 7 adults and 1 child. 3 had burgers which were okay, but rather dry. The burgers are served with veggies and/or bacon however there is no sauce or condiments on them. 2 had steaks and 1 had ribeye. The steaks were generally slightly overcooked, thinner than expected, and not well (if at all) seasoned. Steaks are also served dry, absent of any butter or drippings. Prime rib was good, and cooked appropriately. 1 fish and chips of generous portions, oddly served with fries AND tortilla chips and salsa. Fish was good but kinda chewy, and the tartar sauce, which I assume is house-made, was too sweet. The child, absent a printed children's menu had Mac and cheese and fries. It's looked like standard kraft Mac and cheese and he approved. The fries and onion rings served as sides to most orders were in fact good. Would orders fries again for sure. Chowder and Caesar salads were also good, though I felt there was a little too much Caesar sauce. Overall not an unforgivable experience, but missed the mark largely on burger recipe quality, steak prep consistency, and lacks a level of service and presentation one might expect at a steakhouse.

Be careful of prices. Every item costs more than listed and then you get charged even more for card. Recommend the owner fix this issue before lawyers are involved
