After enjoying Anacortes Maritime Heritage Center and W T Preston, go to this bar which is not far away. It's a pleasant experience to order nicely cooked hamburgers, chili and fried oysters. Serving good Brezeln is the unique characteristic of Brown Lantern. Come here and try delicious draft beer, pale ale or cider. Juice is great, try it. It's easy to find this place due to the great location. The appealing staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. This spot is remarkable for its cool service. According to the guests' opinions, prices are low. The homey decor and exotic atmosphere let visitors feel relaxed here. Google users granted the score of 4.4 to this bar.

If you have a speech impediment, do not come here because they will refuse you service for being "too drunk". I come here every time I'm in town, spend at least $100 each time. Go anywhere else if you want to have a drink and relax. The food will probably taste better anyways. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Could not believe that this happened, I usually love this place but I usually just get drinks and don't normally order food. Ordered a take-out South of the Border Burger, was served a rare at best hamburger patty with no cheese or any of the other toppings that come with that burger. It was just a plain, undercooked, hamburger patty. I called to ask for a re-fire, which I don't like to do at all, but like I said it didn't have any of the toppings. No onions, jalapeños, guacamole, or cheese that we paid for. And it was undercooked. Then I drove all the way back to the restaurant to pick up my re-order. Instead of re-firing my order, the kitchen staff gave me my cold missing toppings in a box. Which might have been okay, not great, but my burger was still raw in the middle, so I simply asked for it to be made again which I normally wouldn't do, but it was raw. The bartender then asked me to show him the order I was given, which I did, uneaten obviously, and after looking at my raw burger they then *brought it back to the kitchen*, who apparently decided "that's what medium rare looks like here." They refused to re-fire my order, refused to acknowledge that my burger was raw in the middle (it was seared at least, but raw), and refused to offer me anything in terms of apology or even admission of making a mistake. I'm not a picky eater. I've actually been a line cook myself in the past, and have plenty of customer service experience. This was one of the worst experiences that I've had in a restaurant in this area. Clearly there is no oversight in this kitchen, or at least not tonight, and I dread the thought that these same cooks are potentially serving chicken breast out of the same kitchen, which could earnestly get someone sick instead of just forcing them to re-fire the entire meal in their own kitchen, which I was forced to. Thankfully my rare patty was undercooked enough that once I got home to my own kitchen I was able to get it to a reasonable medium rare after having to sautee my cold toppings and melt my own cheese over the burger that at this point I had waited over two hours to eat. I never leave poor reviews for restaurants, I know how it can get when business picks up. But this is never, ever how you treat a customer, especially one who wasn't even rude to your staff. I’m from the west side of the state and came here with my fiance the first time I was in town back in July. We’ve been back twice since then and this place is a must stop. It has a lovely side for adults only and a family friendly side for family dining. Absolutely love it here!

Really great local brewpub. I love finding a casual, friendly place to grab a drink and a bite after a long day of work related travel. The local shops usually offer a lot about the people who actually live there and it’s always something to try. This place was no different. I popped in on a Monday evening around 8pm and sat at the bar, thankful that Monday Night Football was the primary TV selection. Energy among the staff was fun, and it spread to the customers. While hanging out, I enjoyed a WA brew, a cup of the crab chowder, and some fish and chips BUT I subbed the “chips” for some of their signature spicy tots. Overall, everything was good. Beer selection was awesome and I was pleased with my pick. The chowder was super good - I’d argue a bowl of that was enough! And the fish + tots was just great. Those spicy tots definitely pack a little heat, but they were tasty. So this was a good stop & one I’d easily recommend. They were really busy!! Full bar, good selection of craft beers & a locust cider, watermelon. Good customer service. I was so excited to eat my food that I forgot to take a picture…I had the tuna sandwich with a salad, it was everything I wanted it to be. Great spot! I am typically skeptical of places that have a large menu, but our meals were delicious! I had the beer battered prawns and husband had fish and chips. Really, really tasty. Fries were perfect . Cole slaw was perfect.. We also had the Jim Beam Godfather to drink, also super good. Weight staff was friendly and prompt. We sat outside to enjoy the weather. It was great! Good food but a cold restaurant 5/5 Habi-tots + carne asada - adding the carne asade was great 5/5 Chili 3/5 Beer battered fish tacos - the fish pieces were too large for tortilla, and the taco was missing some sort of cream 4/5 Single bathroom We also ordered a sandwich to go. It eas extremely annoying that even though we dined in, they charged us a 4% to-go charge on the entire bill. A star was removed for this reason.
