RUDE FROM THE MOMENT WE PULLED IN THE PARKING LOT! I told them I had a gluten and dairy (milk) allergy - they suggested the over easy eggs with meat and hash browns. I told them to give my husband the toast that came with the meal. The dish came out with toast on my plate touching other food. Owner was very rude when I told her I couldn’t have it now - she said I should have said that I was HIGHLY allergic to gluten so then they would have known to keep it off the plate!! I TOLD THEM TO GIVE IT TO MY HUSBAND!! ALso, as I was eating my eggs and hash browns I could taste butter!! When I asked if they used butter - the answer was well yes we do!! UNBELIEVABLE!!

Really nice Diner, great for a home cooked breakfast any day of the week! Fantastic friendly service with a smile and warm filling food prepared quickly for a dine in or take out! Stopped in this morning to grab some quick pastries. So many options I had trouble choosing. Was delighted to see cherry turnovers as theyre my husband's favorite he said it's delicious! I tried the peanut butter crisp coffee and it is SO good! I would come back just for that. The lady at the front was very nice too.

Every village, town or city has that one special place, the warm fuzzy kinda place that just says “ you are welcomed here”, and that is the Bird and the Bear. Maybe it is their willingness to have gluten free food, maybe it is their salads or out of this world baked goods, maybe it is their amazing staff ( counter help, owner or dishwasher), but whatever it is, it keeps you coming back for more.
