The food was surprisingly excellent and tasty. The restaurant was really clean. This was my first time and I definitely will ho back many many times. I gave 4 starts for service because, it was not up to my standard of good hospitality and smile.

WOWIE!!! This is quite the hidden gem!!! This family owned restaurant opened in 2018, wanting to bring a restaurant for all to feel welcomed (like the feel of the Cheers bar - where everyone knows your name). I had driven by it several times, thinking it was primarily a bar.... no, no, no, it is sooooo much more than that. The food has perfectly balanced spices that highlight the flavor of the food, rather than smothering it. Service was top notch, food is top notch... a menu that even the most discerning diner will find appealing.... there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (thank goodness the weather is cooling)!!! There are specials everyday (food and drinks), a kid's menu and a plethora of international scrumptiousness.... the price is excellent for the quality and quantity... super excited to come back and try all of the offerings!!! Well done!!!

Just finished a 1st date here and created a great memory. Stunning restaurant with a quaint patio, where we sat. I wish I got our servers name but it was a young guy that wasn’t overly pushy and very attentive. He offered great drink recommendations and we have already determined we will be back!

Great place and the food is definitely very delicious. Their goat cheese appetizer is a must have and I loved their beef tenderloin sandwich. Overall I had a great time and will definitely make it back soon.

I absolutely love this place. It's a hidden gem in Bellaire. They have happy hour during the week and brunch on weekends ONLY. The food and service are impeccable!!! Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

I have loved this place since they opened quite a few years ago. I still think the food is above average, but they recently changed the menus and prices. I would not normally pay 20$ for fries and a steak sandwich, but at 401 I would. Their steak sandwich was incredible. Unfortunately they changed it. To a thin more authentic Philly cheesesteak sandwich. I love and miss the old sandwich very much. Why fix something that is not broken. Although now you all have the opportunity to fix my broken heart and change the steak sandwich back to the original.

We enjoyed "Everything" about the 401. Upon entering, the ambiance was very calming and relaxing. The lights were dim, but still bright enough to function. Our waiter was very pleasant and courteous. When we arrived, it was still happy hour, so we enjoyed a few food and drink options before our main meal. All of the food and drinks throughout the evening were exceptional. The manager stopped by to check on us and we had a very enjoyable exchange of words. Between the pleasant staff, nice ambiance, and food & drinks, it was an amazing experience. Looking forward to our next visit.

This is my first time here. I enjoyed the mango salad a lot. It's so fresh and the mango is a little bit chewy, sour and sweet. I shouldn't add salmon, the salad itself is just perfect anything else would be too much.
