My fiancé and I stopped in last night for dinner and I got a Steak salad for $17… I was so disappointed. 1. The lettuce was brownish, it was flavorless like the super cheap bags of lettuce you get from Walmart and then a hunk of steak. Had like 2 croutons and nothing else. I had to ask for extra tomatoes& and cheese. and there was quite literally nothing else to the salad. For $17?! I knew it was a mistake going with that but I wanted to try something different. For the price, definitely not. Unless TR can make it right, I will not be returning. This is the umpteenth time I’ve had a bad experience there. Makes me so terribly sad. And the waitress wasn’t the best. Asked to speak to someone and no one came. The booth was terribly messy when we showed up. I am a waitress myself and would never sit anyone at a table with a mess like that. But that salad was unacceptable. It seriously makes me so upset. This particular Texas Roadhouse, from my experience, is no doubt the most consistent in food quality preparation and service. Though I always sit at the bar. Service is always great at the bar. I don't drink alcohol but I still appreciate the comfort and the different people I meet. One more point. Not all Texas Roadhouse establishments are created equal. My experience. We went to dinner with some friends and had the best waiter ever! His name was Declan. Not once were our drinks empty, never were there empty plates sitting on the table, he was amazing!! The place was packed but yet he made us feel like family and not just another number. Awesome job young man!!! We will return and be sure to request your section. Never again like their reviews there is no consistency., I previous left a 5 star reviews cause it was good but multiple times I have been there over the last year and a half and It's been ok not great, I'm not one to complain, make a scene, or send food back. I realize people have bad nights, I used to love this place cause I could go get my steak and it was consistently good, now the place is just consistently bad as well as the steak. First it was good our waitress took our order, the place wasn't busy with many open seats, my drink was late brought out by someone else when they had to ask why I didn't have one, while the other person with me did, everything that came out after that was brought by someone else. I ordered a 14oz rare prime rib after asking to be sure they had it, I also used the words raw/rare when ordering, the waitress even confirmed it. Steak was to be 14oz rare prime rib, what I got wasn't a prime rib at all a 3rd of the steak was literally fat, I realize a prime rib is a fatty cut but it's always the same cut, this wasn't that and it was seared on both sides which is definitely not a prime rib, not to mention it was well done By the time the waitress came to check the other person was finished their meal so I just told them to take it off the bill, we never seen a manager, nothing, they did take it off the bill but hell I'll go to a diner and order a steak before I go back to Texas Road House for another disappointing meal. Completely disappointed on my birthday could have went anywhere else, this has been consistent for the last year and a half, I really wanted that prime rib and they used to have one of the best, not anymore. Honestly, We were in a rather large group and called far in advance and yet they sat us at 2 different tables with 2 different waiters and waitresses.. my Salmon was over cooked and so was the shrimp I added definitely not worth the price! I suggest going to Save a lot and getting what I have pictured for far less if you want salmon and a shrimp!! BTW my total was $38 and some change for a 5 oz piece of salmon with a baked potato and rice as my two sides and I added their six pieces of shrimp again it was overcooked too! Pictured here is Applewood smoked Salmon it was a two pack from Save a Lot for less than $8 and I got a Teriyaki Sesame pack also I'm gonna try later! When going to leave I wanted to take my overpriced fountain soda which was still full to go but our waitress was awol, I said, look one way or another I'm taking my drink with me.. eventually the hostess said well someone can make you a new one, I replied, I don't need a need a new one there's no need to waste this full one, it was deliciously made and I'll say it was the best part of the meal, I just need it put in a to go cup then finding our waitress was a task in itself all around a prime example as to why I will never return to this Texas Roadhouse.. My 12oz ribeye was very tender and cooked to order perfectly. The server did not forget my request to double load my baked potato. Service was great! The music playing in the background was awesome. We had a great Sunday lunch at the Chambersburg location. We were served by a wonderful waitress Tammy, she was quick and friendly and made sure we never had to wait on drinks my favorite. The food is pretty decent. We all had steaks. The sweet potatoes were our favorite. A staff member named Chloe checked in on us she was very nice and friendly as well.
