It's in a mall that seemed pretty dead, but the tacos are absolute fire 🔥 If I say it once, I will say it 1000 times, the best tacos in the world are in the Texas Rio Grande Valley. Crispy mini corn tortillas, flavor packed meat, raw onions, grilled onions, cilantro, queso fresco, slice of avocado, squeeze of lime, top it off with exquisite creamy Jalapeño garlic verde sauce or chili de arbol Rojo. 4 of those, a soda, frijoles charros, and a freaking loaded baked potato (papa asado) for $10! The food was authentic and above average. I will definitely go back again. Service was great. El Monte is located in the mall food court but we ordered and the crew brought out our food and checked on us while we ate. Too notch attention. The atmosphere is the only ping and thats because its in the food court of a a slow and declining mall. The atmosphere was stale and a bit sad.
