Fantastic food and cozy ambience. Usually mediterranean food is a bit dry for my tastebud, but Syrian food surprised me! It was juicy and flavourful. Service was a bit slow since the seating area is at the second floor and the staff were at the first floor. My visit to Syriana Cafe & Restaurant was delightful experience. Exceptional food and a captivating atmosphere. The ambiance of the restaurant is something to be truly appreciated, offering a warm and inviting setting that complements the dining experience perfectly. The service was good. The wait staff was attentive and efficient even though the restaurant was busy they managed to maintain a high level of service, which was impressive. The highlight of our visit was the food. The menu offers were great However, our experience was slightly marred by an issue with the seating. The chair I sat in was broken which resulted in a painful pinch to my fingers. The wait time for our food was longer than expected. However, the quality and taste of the food more than made up for the wait Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
I recently held an event at Syriana, and it went more smoothly than I could have even imagined. The food was amazing and affordable, the event space was beautiful and private, and the entire Syriana team was super responsive, and had someone assigned to us throughout the event, which made everything a breeze. I highly recommend Syriana not just for their food, but for their professional service, and amazing atmosphere. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Been here a few times and really enjoyed the food, service, & atmosphere. Highly recommended! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Falafel Sampler
The food was good, the space is intimate. The service, however, was all over the place. Unclear if understaffed or if that is just how it goes. It is a cafe on the first floor and then a restaurant on the upper floors. The restaurant has a cafe vibe to it. Very little fanfare or interaction when ordering, just a what do you want. So from that perspective it was a little jarring. Food came out quickly though, which was great so we could get out and do other things with our evening. There is only beer, wine, and sangria on the menu - no liquor / cocktails. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Falafel
I found this place on Google while looking for something Mediterranean/Middle-eastern and was not disappointed! The ambiance was great. I particularly appreciated the dim lighting. I ordered the mixed grill and each item in the dish was perfectly prepared and well seasoned. I can wait to bring family/friends here. Not wheelchair welcoming in anyway. EDIT: I’m grateful for the prompt response below and changes in the website would be needed. Disabled people do not want to eat outside in the winter time as much as anyone else, and a table on the first floor not on a ledge would be a starting step. A manual chair could be lifted over the steps indoors - not a power chair. It takes a lot of work to come to restaurants with a disability and they are trusting you to give the information they need. Training for better service is appreciated and needed. Thank you for the action. My mom and I had a nice dinner planned with my partner who is a wheelchair user. The site says on Google maps that they are wheelchair accessible in both entrance and seating. I called before coming to ensure this and the man on the phone told me “yes” and then hung up on me before I could ask any more details. We got to the location to find two major steps into the location and that the table that he said was “wheelchair accessible” was in a tiny corner UP three steps. It was on a narrow ledge by a window - there no way whatsoever someone in a wheelchair could go up, even if they were carried. All the other seating is up a flight of stairs. As we explained that is not at all wheelchair accessible, the employee shrugged. We asked if they would be willing to move the table down from the ledge and he said no immediately. The worker appeared bothered by us all while my partner was outside in the cold. We asked to speak to the manager who was there at the time to at least let him know that he cannot advertise this place as wheelchair accessible. He refused to come down and instead told us to go to another restaurant that also was not wheelchair accessible. Very poor service and we were tossed aside after being told on the phone that it was. I’m hoping that things change and the people here start caring for the disabled. Once again - the site says wheelchair accessible and I called before to confirm. It’s one thing to not make your space accessible if you truly don’t want to (buildings here are old) - but DO NOT advertise it as such. It is hurtful and damaging. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Initially we were a bit concerned because the place looked deceptively small. We were pleased to find out there was a dining room on the second floor. My wife and I shared the ultimate mixed grill, hummus appetizer washing it down with rosewater sangria. My son got a rosewater sherbet and chicken shwarma pizza. Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere and ambiance were also well staged. I would reccomend visiting here if you are on the fence about it. The food was so delicious. I don’t normally go to old ellicott city area but when I do, I love all the restaurants that I try. Me and my sisters decided to visit this place. When we walked in, we were greeted but I wish there was more acknowledgment as far as getting a table. I had to find someone to seat us and we were seated on the third floor. It was kinda busy, not too much but we had to come downstairs to grab a waitress, assuming they forgot about us on the top floor. I ordered the grilled chicken kebab sandwich. Soo soo so good. The garlic sauce that it comes with is so good, ask for extra! The portion size was good for the price and very affordable. I definitely have to come back to try something else. I also ordered the rose water sherbet which was so refreshing. I’ve never had rose water before but I would definitely get it again. My only concern is the service, if they were a little more attentive and didn’t forget about us they would get 5 stars. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
