Just stumble across this cute shop after cycling around Kawaguchi area. I'm quite intrigue with the amazake shorbet (I only know the hot one). The yuzu amazake shorbet was amazing! So refreshing after 3 hours cycling. They also have shaved ice and cold tea. And the owner speak English very well- is a plus

Suginoki has various organic fruit sorbet that you could only found in Kawaguchi lake areas, placed near by the world heritage Kawaguchi Asama shrine that you'll never hard to find. I tried fresh fruit tea also. Oishii!!

Lovely tea salon near Kawaguchi Asama-jinja shrine. The owner is very nice. You can get green tea, coffee, grape juice and cakes (cheese cake, melon tart - changing depending on seasons). Drinks are 350-450 yen, cakes are 400 yen. Drink+cake set is 750 yen. Lovely Japanese style inside and outside. Very relaxing.

Despite multiple trips to the area, we didn’t learn about this amazing, hidden gem until recently. If you are coming to the five lakes / kawaguchiko area or even just passing through, be sure to include this on your itinerary. The shop is a family owned cafe with tea and delicious homemade deserts. There are beautiful paintings for sale made by the lady’s grandmother, who is 92. The paintings are all stunning and fairly priced.
