I cannot rave about this place enough. Stopped here for lunch and was not disappointed. Ordered the artichoke and spinach dip (10/10 recommend) and loaded baked potatoes. I had pulled pork on mine. So the service was 100% the saving grace of this place. The hostess was terrific even letting my son feed the fish outside. Seated quickly, the service was top notch and quick. Their rolls are soft and the butter is awesome with a hint of honey in them. Next came the salad for me. It was actually in my opinion a 5*. I had a ceaser and their dressing actually was a vinaigrette style Caesar which while interesting and I'd never had anything like it was perfect in my opinion although my party guest weren't as big of fans. Next came our steaks. While they weren't great they also weren't bad. Although when you ordered identical ribeyes and ones vastly larger that is weird. They were cooked a perfect medium so they nailed that. The outside edges of each end seemed seasoned well but outside of those bites they seemed plain bland. I had to ask for A1 which is for me a automatic thumbs down. The baked potato was great and good size. My wife had fries for the kids instead of the naked potato. They don't say seasoned fries but when they came out they were so covered in seasoning neither child would eat them. Our waitress to the rescue had us a fresh batch in less the 5 minutes with no house seasoning. My only other complaint would be they were probably all undercooked but that may be simply their style of serving. The rest of the party had ribs which said we're good but crazy fatty and brisket. Said it seemed more oven cooked then smoked but was decent. All in all the service saved it. But 2* from us. Just finished a delicious dinner here. The food was fantastic! I had a filet and husband had salmon. Our waitress Christine was an excellent server! She had good timing and was so nice I feel like I know her for years. Everything was just perfect! Great service! Greeted and seated immediately! Very friendly staff and server! The rolls were warm and delicious. We both ordered the sliced brisket, my sides were fries and $1.99 upgrade to a side salad, and my partner also had the salad, as well as fried okra. Our meals arrived in a very timely manner. Neither of us was overwhelmed by the brisket; it was more reminiscent of regular roast beef. It was tender, just lacking in flavor one expects when ordering brisket. The portions were very good, though. The side salad was fresh and tasty. We would definitely eat here again to try something different. The meal wasn't bad, it just wasn't great for the price. The restaurant atmosphere seems great with a lit fireplace and cozy feeling but I did not dine in. The service was super fast and attentive. My food was to go but still very hot. The yeast rolls are exceptional and the green beans are nice and peppery. The mill potatoes are loaded with so much that they don't taste like much. The main item the salmon, looked so appetizing and it just wasn't. There is little spice flavor and the butter that came with it had no flavor. It reminded me of the gallons of butter from the bulk restaurant stores. There was no lemon or lime hint to it as the description said. It was also slightly over cooked. Super disappointing. The food was good but was missing that wonderful smoke flavor that I was looking for in the pulled pork sandwich,, it could have been served at a warmer temperature but was still good. Portion sizes are good on the meat but need to be 25% larger on the side items. Prices were reasonable, depending on what you order, The sandwiches served with 1 side, start at around $10.. The dinner rolls that are served ahead of the meal are absolutely wonderful, hot, fresh and taste homemade. The restaurant had a really nice atmosphere to it inside and has a small fish pond out front. Even though the service could have been a little more attentive, she still did a good job and we did not feel rushed. My daughter and I visited early on a Friday. Chad was our waiter and did an outstanding job. Very personable and attentive, but not hovering... much appreciated. Appetizer was ok, but really spicy... fine for me, but not my daughter. The pulled pork was fantastic, fries amazing. The chicken fried steak was good, just a bit small for the price. The atmosphere was fun. The management was kewl... even sold me one of the logo purple cups... not usually for sale. Enjoy.
