Food was good; The waitress/bartender was less than pleasant. Said her job was not to be nice, just to serve you what you ordered. The people we met at the bar said they had been there before and her attitude always sucks. Ruined an otherwise nice evening to top off our visit.

We stopped by Spyglass for some drinks and to enjoy the sunset while we waited for dinner to take home. Their outdoor patio has been a favorite of ours for years with the spectacular view of the cliffs and ocean. Granted we haven't visited in a little while, but completely shocked to find out they are now charging a swipe fee if you pay with your credit card. It may be stated in small print somewhere on the menu, but neither of us saw it. I know it won't bother a lot of people (most probably won't even notice), but as a local small business owner, I was disappointed and won't be returning. I would have much preferred paying a few dollars extra for a good meal than feeling like I was being nickel and dimed over a swipe fee. 😢

I was traveling up the coast and decided to spend the night in Pismo Beach. I found a good deal online for the Spyglass Inn. After getting settled in my room I went out to explore the grounds, which are perched cliff-top over the beach. Sunset was approaching so I decided to have a cocktail at the bar/restaurant. As I was enjoying my martini and watching the sun go down, I asked to see a dinner menu. The stuffed sole caught my eye. It was a good sized piece of fish stuffed with a generous amount of shrimp and crab, topped with a flavorful sauce, rice and veggies on the side. The service was attentive and the atmosphere is awesome. Overall, a great experience.
