Very very nice staff and excellent service. Not good BBQ. The Brussels sprouts were waterlogged but decent. A little too much balsamic. The baby back ribs were not tender - it was a struggle to get off the bone. The Brisket was a very generous portion but overall slightly dry and with an unpleasant flavor. The Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes were very good though. I don’t think we will be back and weren’t sure what the hype was all about. WOW! This was the food highlight of our trip to Lake Placid. We ordered the Brisket Nigiri (not worth it-hard to eat and rice was undercooked), the Signature Rib Nachos (out of this world!) and the Brisket Platter. The nachos were a mountain of flavor! Toppings layered throughout. Portion was gigantic. We got the biggest pieces of brisket I’ve ever seen a restaurant serve. One piece was a little overcooked, but the other was the best piece of brisket I’ve had in my life. So tender, juicy, and flavorful! The only critique I have is that there wasn’t enough sauce! This sauce needs to be sold! Make sure to SHARE everything-portions are HUGE! This place was very popular so get on the list early or make a reservation. Made our 5 hour drive /weekend trip specially to eat here. Not anywhere near our expectations. The atmosphere was nice and the service was great. The food lacked seasoning on everything and their house sauce was sweet and not impressive. We ordered multiple items to try since this was our main goal. Over $200 bill and left hungry. All were ok but nothing was great. The town in great. The scenery is beautiful so I’m glad there are other things not to be so disappointed in. Definitely over ordered for just two people but it was all so delicious, portions were huge. Brisket, duck breast taco, burnt end nachos. My favorite was the Fall Canapés which was a mix of pork belly, cinnamon honey, blue cheese and caramelized apples. Great flavor profiles worked so well together. The Mirror Lake Cosmo and the Old Fashined were great drinks to start it all off. Will be back! Great view of mirror lake, making reservations on their website strongly recommended if you want to sit by the windows. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Came here because of the great reviews. And i would have to agree. Ordered the brisket nachos, the bone in ribeye, and wings. Also got the “old fallshioned”. Everything was amazing. The steak still tasted like it was smoked, but also had a great crust! Seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The brisket on the nachos were amazing. Could see the smoke ring on some of the picees in there. The only thing i did not really enjoy was the old fallshion. A fall inspired old fashion. The whiskey used in it had a moonshiny finish. We stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night, they were not accepting reservations at that time so we had to put our name and wait over 2-1/2 hours. Finally when the wait was over, they seated us right behind their reception desk near the door. We ordered lamb gyro and baby pork ribs! I highly recommend both dishes they were delicious and the portions were decent. Coleslaw was one of the worst ones i ever had, it had a bitter onion taste in it which was weird. Service was not up to a class you expect from such restaurant. The waiter seemed like he didn't cared much. It worth a visit if you can get reservation.
