Japanese cuisine is to the pleasure of all visitors here. That's a good idea to order perfectly cooked seared tuna, salmon and spring rolls. Come here for good green tea ice cream, chocolate mousse and crème brûlée if you are hungry. It's a must to taste delicious wine, martinis or beer when visiting this restaurant. As a lot of reviewers affirm, iced green tea is really great. Food delivery is an important advantage of Shiro. The cute staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. People say that the service is spectacular here. Most guests find that prices are adequate for what you get. The modern decor and pleasant ambiance let clients feel relaxed here. Fun and affordable dinner at this beautiful white mansion built in the 1920’s. We had drinks and shared 3 plates including tuna California rolls along with a shared salad for under $90. Good value - fun. Each of the many rooms (dining areas) are a bit different from one another. But, they have one thing in common - noise level is high.Tough to hear and converse due to the high ceilings and echo noise created by nearby conversation. Also, Irritating to find a “3% Charge Card Processing Fee” was tacked onto our bill with no fanfare. In the “good ole days” the proprietors cost of charge card processing was build into the consumers cost of each menu item. In my view, this is inflationary, as the menu prices were not reduced when the service fee was added. You ever find a restaurant so good that you're mad that it exists because you know you're about to give it all your money? That's Shiro Restaurant in Novi for us now... The sushi was beyond amazing. The braised pork belly was super tender and flavorful. The cucumber kimchi is my new favorite "fancy" kimchi. And the takoyaki was fresh and packed full of flavor. We can't wait to go back 🤘. This was our first visit. I am really not a sushi fan but our son thought we should try Shiro Restaurant. We were amazed the food all of it was Fantastic as was the service. I had a lovely dinner date here on Wednesday, such a lovely venue. The vibes at Shiro are on point! It's so elegant and classy but still cozy and casual. It is a great spot for date nights, business dinners, or girl talk. They have a good variety of drinks here. I plan to come back soon and try other options. The food was fantastic, we ordered several different types. The "Fatty Roll" was a highlight! It's one of the best sushi spots in Michigan. We drove and waiting in traffic and construction to get here to celebrate hubbys birthday. Wow we do NOT go here often enough. Julie provided AMAZING service. I recently went to another restaurant, asked for a drink, server said they didn’t have it, and there was dead silence. No recommendations given. Well Julie knew the drink list and recommended drinks based on my taste. She was very attentive even with meal-ordering for my kid, and checked on us often. Very nice and funny. The food overall was good but the Roasted garlic mushrooms had no salt/flavor in them. The drinks are not that good. Also the service was pretty late. The mansion itself is really good however we were seated next to a group of girls who were too loud which made the whole atmosphere unenjoyable. The best place for sushi! The location, the atmosphere, the service, the presentation, and the food all come together for a unique experience. The food is delicious and the cocktails are very well made. Great selection of rolls and individual pieces. Good selection of beer, wine, and cocktails available as well. Plenty of parking too. I grabbed lunch here with a friend of mine the other day. We started with some very soothing and warm miso soup. Made our way to the delightful shiro salad and had chicken teriyaki stir-fry egg noodles for our entrees which were quickly finished. Only good things to say about the food! The service was okay, didn’t catch the waiters name, pretty typical though, nothing special. The atmosphere was very unique, two rooms aside from the massive staircase in the middle. A small sushi bar room to the right and a small dining area suitable for older guests on the left. It’s unlike any Japanese spot I’ve been to before. I might come back every now and then. A mansion turned into a restaurant, has actually great dining arrangements. Our server was very friendly and guided us about what to order based on our preferences. They have a good collection of sakés. We also ordered a few fancy rolls and they did not disappoint. Everything on the menu tasted pretty authentic. Would definitely go there again.
