I came here at 8 pm on a friday with my brother and we sat for 12 minutes in the lobby and not a single employee came to seat us. We saw 2 employees in the back on their phones though. :((((( Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

OK. Nothing spectacular. My family all said that the hashbrowns were delicious. Service was slow, considering there were only two other tables occupied at the time and several wait staff. The menu says to ask for pickles if you'd like some. I asked for pickles and was given two very small slices. I was not impressed. We came there after an afternoon in Portland at the Art Museum. We had a bad time at an Elmer's recently, New Years Eve, so we thought we would stop here. It seemed like there were new staff. The waitress what's new and didn't really know the menu. When our order came Not only was it wrong but there was nothing hot on either plate we both ordered the country fried steak my girlfriend ordered the smaller plate I ordered the main dinner size she had ordered it with broccoli cheese casserole and it was supposed to come with a roll and well it didn't come as described in the menu I ordered the cheese casserole and I got just the regular broccoli with the rice pilaf which was fine but everything was cold I mean you would want a hot country fried steak with at least mildly warm gravy on top and that wasn't the case. In fact we were sitting there so long that I called the number of the restaurant knowing that there was at least one person in the kitchen and the manager with two wait staff in the back and it rang and rang and rang and rang and rang until it went to the answering machine. I left a message saying that I was just going to leave $25 on the table and leave and as we were walking towards the front we finally got a cashier's attention it was such a bad night that we actually got our meal for free. Sat for over 20 minutes with no silverware with coffee we couldn’t stir. Waited another 15 minutes for our order to be taken while servers are just walking around being inefficient. Also the manager standing in the cook line complaining about a server that didn’t show up yet has no money is very unprofessional. Made this seem like a very unhappy environment to be in. As a former restaurant manager this was very unprofessional and overall a terrible experience. The crazy thing is, they weren’t very busy at all. As a Shari's goes, it was standard. The waiter that we had was brand new as were the cooks, I think. My daughter's got the French dip and split it. One side of their sandwich was normal French dip, but the other side was nothing but mushrooms and peppers. It was weird to see. The fruit upgrade to my Benedict was not fresh, and since the grills and the deep fryer are not separate, cross contamination from meat is a big thing for allergies here. So, having the fish or the shrimp was out. Drink refills were not offered. We went at a slow time and still took almost 50 min to get our order. Cobwebs on the chandelier and lights, but it was a quick place to eat before a wrestling tournament, so we grabbed it.
