Great Irish pub! I've gone there numerous times. I've enjoyed the Mac& cheese, Chili, Fish& chips, Roast Beef sandwiches along with their certified pour Guinness pint. The people who work here are extremely rude— especially the female bar tenders. They never do a good job at making me feel welcomed and act as if they prefer not to be there. This happens to me every time that I go in and I tend to be a very quiet and polite person. I will not be going back. They charged me $35 for only 5 eight ounce draft Samuel Adams beers. Very solid, classic Irish Pub with good food and terrific service. Clearly a Philly joint, with memorabilia from all the Philly teams as the decor theme. I've been here many times over the years, and always had a great service experience and good food. Highly recommended for a casual meal. It's a perfect example of neighborhood bar.. the inside has a big square bar in the middle with tables around 3 sides of it and a dance floor/DJ in the back on busier nights. I wouldn't call it a dive bar but I will say it has a small town charm with plenty of regulars. The last time I was there, it was a mixed crowd. Lots of people in their 20's and 30's, there were Christmas parties going on and bachelorette parties as well. It was a Saturday night and it was packed. There were a few pockets of older people as well but the atmosphere was good and there didn't seem to be any drunk a-holes causing any trouble. It was a fun night. Plus it is directly next to a police station, so take your chances driving out of there after midnight or later! Our table ordered the roast pork sandwiches, roast beef sandwiches,cheese steak and fries. All of our food was hot and delicious. Our server was very friendly and happy to wait on us. Famous for their freshly cut, roast beef sandwiches; amongst other things. Almost half a million sold so you know they’re doing it right. Schilleens is a great local bar that boasts wonderful pub type grub and the service of your favorite bartenders, who have become family to many including myself. The atmosphere and jovial nature this bar elicits makes you feel right at home. Their slogan is “There are no strangers here; Only friends you haven’t yet met.” And that couldn’t be more accurate. Great bar food, good service, fun music. We had the wings which are one of the best in SJ! The sauce is delicious! Fried green beans were delicious as well. They are known for their roast beef and pork sandwiches, will have to try next time. Drinks were reasonably priced.
