Always been a favorite of mine pulled pork nachos is my favorite! Usually had good service last time a week ago waitress got our appetizer wrong we ordered fried pickles and was brought out mushrooms and I requested onion on my grilled chicken sandwich I called her over to request onions and she replied “they didn’t put any on” I opened my sandwich to show her she went back and brought me diced onions instead of sliced onions. I guess diced is better than sliced on a sandwich 🙄. Never offered me a refill on my drink. Rest of meal was decent. I will go back and try again. We made reservations for 7 Friday night at 6. We got our seat in the second room, which is big and open. They were busy already! 6/7 got the drink specials all named after dogs or dog water 🐾 The waitress was nice. Our food came great and everyone was happy. I got a brisket wrap no wrap. I think it was a good experience for not going often. We then walked to an 8 show at the Sauk theater. By recommendation, I ended up in Jonesville, Michigan today for lunch. Pictured here, we have the big red sandwich, which has sliced brisket, smoked sausage, spicy barbecue sauce and pickles. No extra fillers, just the good stuff. It was freaking fantastic! Comes with chips for $11.49. With the name dog in the title of the restaurant, I had to try one of their dogs. The one I ordered is called the Mutt. It's a deep fried dog with bacon, mustard, and baked beans. Definitely messy, but the name saucy is right there in the restaurant's name. Definitely a good choice. The building is right downtown and has a nice homey feel. Every table was loaded when I got here, which is always a good sign. Food was pretty good. Did the 2 meat combo bbq chicken and pulled pork. Baked beans and coleslaw. Also did the fried brisket wrap. Had it with mac and cheese instead of chips. Food was ah. After reading reviews I guess I got my expectations up too high. Bbq sauces are nothing special. The spicy tastes like straight jalapeños. The macaroni is so disappointing. Idk if you can say you do good bbq if your Mac sucks. The cheese tastes like box velveeta or cheese wiz. The chicken was dry but cooked well. The pulled pork was the best thing there. Brisket was boring. The curly fries were baked, whats up with that. I can do that at home LOL. And lastly, the restaurant smells musky, like old carpet and mold. You'd think it would smell like meat right. Overall, staff were nice, lots of young kids. The bill wasn't too bad and it was food. Will I drive all this way to come again, hard no.
