Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum can be on your route by default, the guests' recommendation is to come to this bar. Nicely cooked halibut, duck breast and prawns have a nice taste. Sandbar provides tasty doughnuts, biscuits and key lime pie. Take your chance to taste good prosecco, scotch or champagne. Delicious cappuccino or great milkshakes are the most popular drinks of this place. The cosy atmosphere of this spot makes guests feel relaxed and have a good time. The cute staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. This bar is notable for its terrific service. Tasty dishes at adequate prices are offered here. It is known as a place with homey decor. Based on the visitors' feedback on Google, Sandbar deserved 4.5.

It was basically a nice experience but they don't pay attention to the details in your reservation. I specifically mentioned it was a birthday celebration and nothing was mentioned the entire evening. Most places will give you a complimentary small token dessert to commemorate the occasion but nothing was ever said. Other than that it was okay. Service was friendly and fast. They let us have time to decide on what we wanted and the courses were brought out very spaced out. First we ordered two drinks. I got the figgy old fashioned which was really good and my girlfriend got a special martini. Sorry I forgot the name. They brought out the drinks which were very well made. For an appetizer we ordered half dozen raw clams on a half shell and the avocado toast with burrata. Both were excellent. The avocado toast is very tasty but pricey for what you got. $20. The raw clams on the half shell were extremely fresh and pleasantly presented with fresh shaved horseradish cocktail sauce lemon and a wine vinaigrette, that was $15. They brought us out bread before the mea;l one slice each and never asked if we wanted more. The butter for the bread was frozen solid and we needed a jackhammer to separate it and we had to wait quite some time to spread it on the bread. Main course, my girlfriend ordered the Berkshire pork chop which was excellent and cooked perfectly. I ordered the filet mignon kabobs over orzo. I really don't think it was filet mignon because not only did it not taste like filet mignon but it was tough and grizzly. Quite disappointing. We didn't order dessert because frankly we didn't want anymore. The bill came to $230 with tip. Overall not worth it. We chose this place because there was an article on the internet that name it one of the top 10 romantic restaurants on Long Island. The Ambiance was nice but it really wasn't that romantic. Arrived at 12:30 - told its restaurant week. We were seated, food arrived at 2:10. Everyone who was seated after was served before us. The food was sub par. Bacon was deep fried and disgusting. Manager made excuses, “well it’s restaurant week” No, sorry that’s not an excuse, especially since the restaurant was never at capacity!! Manager made excuses instead of accepting responsibility, and she had attitude!! Manager said bacon was baked not fried, then why was it in a ball??? Baked bacon is flat! Never again!!! My boyfriend and I went here for date night last week and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was great, staff was super friendly, the dining room was beautifully decorated, and the food was DELICIOUS! We will definitely be back. Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I took my parents and Frida Panda for lunch on separate occasions, and we ALL loved the food. They have the best Mahi-Mahi Fish Tacos! Frida was delighted with all the attention from the staff. They brought her a water bowl, which was perfect for us to head over to the park right after. My girlfriend and I came crunch and ended up staying until dinner. The food was delicious. We ordered two entrees to split both between us. When the server overheard us talking about the logistics of the split, he brought the entrees pre-split from the kitchen proactively. We really appreciated it! We ended up having a great conversation and moved to the bar to have drinks after dinner, where we eventually found ourselves looking over the dinner menu. Sand Bar in Cold Spring Harbor was ok, my husband & I decided we wanted to do fine dine & being im more of a Long Islander & he’s from Arizona, I wanted to give him the experience of fine dining on Long Island the food was ok we had no complaints in that department however we felt as though we were being profiled by our server as if we couldn’t afford the experience it’s like she rushed taking our orders, we caught her multiple times off to the side with her co workers laughing & looking at us as if we were being talked about my husband started to feel out of place however I told him to ignore it, when she dropped the bill again we saw her with her co workers laughing offf to the side staring at us, we just felt as though we were treated differently than how the other guest were treated( as if their money was more valuable that what we were spending).The Manager did a table touch with us to asked if we enjoyed everything again he didn’t do it with any of the other guest…. the ambiance was nice it’s quite & intimate so that we liked, the food was ok but we just wasn’t pleased with the server however still tipped her very well to show her not to judge a book by its cover ☺️ Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Brussels Sprouts

Had a very nice meal at Sandbar the other night, had the fish and chips and swordfish. For appetizers. We had the duck tacos and shrimp cocktail. Overall, the food was very good, very fresh. Service was a little slow, but not annoyingly so. I only think there was one server and one kitchen server on duty, as I only saw the one gentleman taking care of everyone in the dining room. I went for lunch with my family. We ordered the seafood tower, salads, peas fries were fun, tacos were great, shrimp and grits were ok shrimp was overdone. Desserts were the right size and tasteful. The service was on point very attentive. Beautiful atmosphere.

I just used the private room at the Sandbar for my mother's surprise birthday party and can't say enough wonderful things about my experience. They worked with me to create the perfect menu where everyone was raving about the food. I was able to decorate the room exactly how I wanted it and they even provided a birthday message to my mother on the menu. Check out the pictures. The women had such a great time that many of them were supposed to leave to attend another party commitment but ended up staying to the end. The staff was incredible, accommodating and made this process as easy as possible. It was a group of 17 women and a fantastic experience. I recommend them for private events and would definitely use The Sandbar again. Thank you!
