We went here looking for some food, but there were mostly drinks. The tamales that were from off-site were delicious (reason for 2 stars), but I was expecting more based on the photos. The bartender was nice and friendly.

Now Alcove Social! Fun environment, lots of events to have fun with. Great little local spot always more to do then just drink.

I am very happy to see this place alive and in running again. Stop in and support this local business, they are doing good things for the Alpine community.

Usually a nice place to hang out and get some great drinks and food. This last time around, the drinks were horrible. I had a long island ice tea and it tasted like lime. There was no other taste. I don't know if they made it in hurry or what, but that was a horrible waste and I was completely unsatisfied with my drink, my friend's was the same. Our waiter was okay, he was patient.

We stopped here on a recommendation from our local hotel. I knew something was wrong hen we walked in and just kind of stood there while several employees walked back and forth in a hurry and didn't even acknowledge our existence. After asking the bartender, they suggested we just pick a table and sit down. After 7 more minutes of waiting as employees walked by, one finally noticed us. We ordered what we thought was a safe bet... two "burgers of the week"... after 20 minutes, still no burgers. The cook walked by and apologized that she had burned the buns and would get them out soon. The burger was nothing special and two burgers ($15 each) with 2 lemonades was well over $40!!!! Needless to say, I cant recommend this place at all.

We drove here while in Marfa hoping to have dinner one night, but the incredibly small menu didn't offer me (with dietary restrictions) anything at all I could possibly eat. There were literally only about 8 selections on the menu. We had a drink instead (again, limited selections and very overpriced - mine was in a short glass and was $11!!! This is Alpine, not Chicago). The place is cute inside - kind of cowboy/old west meets industrial. But a bit too pretentious for its britches...again, it's Alpine.
