It's been a long time since I've had some real tx BBQ brisket. These folks where I live don't know how to BBQ anything. I absolutely loved the brisket potato. The $9 BBQ brisket sandwhich was a joke. 2 slices on a tiny bun. If I had know it was going to be like that I would not have ordered it. Rip off from hell. But man! That brisket was something else. We were lucky to have tried and loved Rudy's BBQ in Colorado Springs and when we saw the big red Rudy's sign in New Braunfels we had to try and compare. We LOVED it! Don't hesitate to give it a try. This was my one visit to a commercial chain BBQ joint during my Christmas visit . I’ve eaten at Rudy’s many times and have not been disappointed. Strangely enough, they had the best bark on their brisket that I’ve had in a while. The point brisket was juicy and did not disappoint. They had a wonderful smoky flavor I’ve been looking for. The spare ribs were not up to par though. They looked like they didn’t even have a rub on them. Of course I ate them, but I wouldn’t go to this chain for these ribs. The staff was great and all the locations I’ve been have all had ample seating and TVs all around for a nice distraction. Rudy’s service at this location was quick and efficient. It was getting late and we wanted some Texas Bar Be Que...Rudy's stayed open until 9...1 hour past all the other joints...good for us !!!. Great atmosphere and food !!!. We had a birthday party there, and they made it painless!! We had brisket, sausage and turkey along with the sides. It was very good, and the party setup was painless and easy! Great place. By far the best of the Rudy’s I’ve ever been. Service is friendly. They smoke the meat on site and the seasoning is excellent on all of the meats from Turkey to prime rib. Price is good for the area. More excellent days than the occasional off day. Will always come here as my go to BBQ. Interesting. You order the food at the counter/grill, get all on a big bucket and than proceed to the 'dining area'. Best pulled pork we had so far. Also you need to try the Brisket Moist. YUMMY Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Excellent BBQ joint. Rudy’s is so perfect. From decor to food to hand washing station, it feels every bit of an excellent BBQ place. The massive smoked potato loaded with meat is so good. Brisket is nicely smoked, tender and juicy … the best are the sauces, tangy, smoky, peppery, with a hint of sweetness… Happy eating
