1st time visitor - been wanting to try for some time. I live about an hour from Rockland, so to visit, I need to know that the earlier you get there, the better. The last time I tried to visit, I saw the dreaded "SOLD OUT" sign on the door!
This time, I planned a visit with my daughter, who likes doughnuts as much as I do. We arrived shortly after they opened, so there was plenty of selection available.
We enjoyed a doughnut 🍩 there and then took a half dozen home.
I was pleased by the small, homey shop. The service was great. They had plenty of patience while we labored over what to get.
Didn't find any doughnut that I didn't like, but I did have favorites! For me, simpler is better, so I preferred the lemon glazed one.

The absolute best of the best in our opinion and our go-to special treat whenever we can. The flavors are always unique and reflect Maines' seasonal offerings throughout the year from blueberries to cider, and I doubt you'll ever meet a bakery crew more passionate about their work than Team Ruckus!

I am 37 weeks pregnant and not typically a donut fan, but we stopped in during the Rockland Christmas parade and WOW… I had my husband go back and get a second one because I didn’t want to share! We tried the peppermint one and the eggnog one and the eggnog donut is hands down the best donut I’ve ever had. It has given me a new craving in the final stretch of this pregnancy and I’m already looking forward to going back again! Absolutely recommend them!

A must visit every time we get Rockland. Absolutely delicious donuts with enough variety that everyone can find something to their liking. Also, the owner and wife are so incredibly friendly. Our only wish is that we lived closer

This place is by far the best donut place for miles! Definitely worth a trip! A lot of care goes into making them every day and it shows! Grab the Homer when you're here in the warmer months.
Donuts are a personal preference - one size doesn’t seem to fit all - but these are my personal favorite style of donuts. The pastry part is light and yeasty (think KrispyKreme on steroids) and the glaze/icings were rich/sugary and flavored true to described. Not to mention, they are almost as big as your head! Great job, donut-makers!
Well they look amazing. If it weren’t for some of the toppings they would be flavorless. It’s interesting that no one else that has reviewed them has said this. The actual donut was very blah. I know they are yeasty but, a little bit of flavor would be nice. The Maple Bacon was good… again because of the toppings. The glazed was meh and the lemon was strange, it had a dollop of something in the center, I thought it would be lemon n curd, it wasn’t, it taste like butter with a hit of lemon.
Maybe because it was a busy weekend in town, I hit them at a bad time??? It’s a no go for me. I love donuts. It’s the first thing I look for when I come into town. They are giant though.
Homer would be in heaven!! Tasty and huge donut! I recommend you order online the day before as the selection was low, even at 9 am. Delicious, unique flavors – I tasted the coffees, maple/bacon, and blackberry -YUM!
Really yummy donut shop in rockland! donuts are a little pricey 4-5$ each but very tasty. They sell out quick on certain flavors so the earlier in the day you go the more options they have. The owner was very friendly and the staff are too.
These donuts are inspired! Creative ideas, well executed!! One visit won't be enough!!
Great coffee too, because you need coffee with donuts. 🍩 Awesome staff as well. A great way to start your day.
