The crepe’s are phenomenal and so is the spiced chai tea. They have dessert crepe’s as well as pizza or spinach crepe’s. We love the openness of this coffee shop. They also always have local arts and crafts for sale as well as art classes etc. There is a large room off to the side you can rent for special occasions and events. Family friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

If you want a family-friendly scene that serves amazing drinks and food items, Root Coffeehouse & Creperie is the place for you! If you need to work on homework, play some old-school board games, hang out with friends, or just take a moment for yourself this is a great place for it all! The staff and owners are amazing and they make you feel like family and not just a customer. We have several chain coffee shops in the area, but Root is unique piece of heaven nestled in downtown Pittsburg. Trust me when I say, give it a try and I promise you will be back! On a side note, I highly recommend a Dingo Frappe!

Root is a great place for me to grab a drink with a friend or talk my kid. They have lots of drink options and the staff, who is incredibly friendly, is always willing to chat about what your preferences are. This location also hosts lots of great activities like sketch nights, open mics, etc. You should check them out!

What a really cool place to meet up with friends or to utilize space for a meeting with colleagues. There is something about having a locally owned business that gives back so much to our community. Looking for a cool place to study or just take a coffee break, I highly recommend Root. The staff is super welcoming and the selections are all top notch!

This place is amazing! The coffees and beverages of course are outstanding, then add in the gorgeous historical setting, delicious menu offerings and unique shopping, you will want to return again & again! The owners are hard working community supporters that make Root a place for all to enjoy!
Root has always been my favorite place in town for coffee, tea, and crepes! The vibes are always immaculate, staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s a great selection. My personal faves: Andra’s Almond Tea and the Pizza Crepe. Their drip coffee is also amazing and locally sourced.
