If it’s been a while give this place a shot! The ambience is amazing and wooden- best Japanese restaurant space in town. The sushi is fresh, no mushy ikura here. Amaebi was great, scallop too. The service is attentive. They even have karaage. Better sake selection than most spots in the area. Only thing is I wish they had uni!! This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in the Monterey Bay area! This restaurant has been through several owners in the past 25 years, and not every one of them has been a winner. But the current operation is top-notch! A great menu with enough variety that everyone will find something to delight their palate! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Calamari appetizer is delicious! One of the best I’ve had anywhere! Everything we ordered was outstanding and the lemon drop cocktail was the best. The owners are doing an amazing job!!!
