Wife and I just went for restaurant week. I started with the chili and wife got the deviled eggs, both were ok, nothing special. For entrees I got the Republic burger which imo was very subpar, not difficult to find a better burger for half the price elsewhere. Wife got the Korean style chicken sandwich which was excellent. Fries for both were stale. Desert was peach cobbler which again underwhelming, peaches from a can. Portion size was fair, we both left full with leftovers, 3 course meal for $35 a person during restaurant week so not a bad deal considering their normal menu prices. But to be honest I wont be returning, food is not worth the price they are asking in their regular menu. Service was fast and friendly. Local beers on tap. Really wanted to try this place. Brought my best friend here for her birthday. Unfortunately we were never able to try this place. We stood at the entrance for 15 minutes just waiting to be seated or acknowledged. After going on 15 minutes and counting the couple in front of us even left so we were now “first” in line. We waited a few more minutes and still weren’t acknowledged or even noticed even though the girl working was walking back and forth in front of us. We ended up deciding to leave too. I’m not sure if they were short staffed or something as there was plenty of open tables, but seemed to be only 1 girl responsible for absolutely everything and everyone. We wouldn’t have minded waiting if we had been acknowledged but after standing at the door for close to 20 minutes we felt more like we were loitering and perhaps they were too busy for more customers. We left and tried another restaurant in post falls. We were seated promptly at the new place! I wouldn’t try to eat here again unless it is super dead! Otherwise you may just wait and wait and wait! Recently been frequenting restaurants in the Post Falls/CDA area and have tasted some good food, but WOW. This little place after a couple visits has been established in my regard as the BEST restaurant in the area HANDS DOWN. The atmosphere is warm, cozy and inviting, with staff that are friendly, attentive and professional! The prices are competitive, and the food is OUTSTANDING! The dishes I have had the pleasure of eating during my visits there have included complex ingredient combinations, cooked to perfection. Their cauliflower tacos are a delicacy, and their Jalapeno popper burger is my new favorite sandwich! Their fry sauce was excellent, but you didn't even need it because both the sides of fries and sweet potatoes were so delicious on their own! I WILL be coming back. OFTEN. After my first visit, I have a new favorite restaurant! The food is amazing and service was spectacular! It's a bit small, but it totally adds to the whole vibe of the restaurant, and it looks like have some decent patio space for warmer weather. It added to the whole experience when I got to watch the chef come out to a table of older ladies and he went over the menu with them answering every question they had and making sure their food was prepared exactly how they desired. My husband had the jalapeño popper burger, and I got the Mac n cheese, both absolutely amazing! Again with chef coming to make sure it was Creamy and cheesy enough for my liking, and it sure was! Post Fall’s food gem Republic Kitchen and Taphouse serves tasty food with complex ingredients. The happy-hour potato chip nachos had crunch, spicy aioli, was smooth and creamy, and pairs well with any beer. Dishes incorporate seasonal ingredients. Food was so good! My husband got a burger and it was juicy, spicy and the bun was on point. I got the Repub Bowl, no egg. OMG, so yummy. Full of flavor, I ate it all. We both got the Sofa King Dreamy beer and it was delicious. Great atmosphere and the service was great. We will definitely be back.
