I had a great time at Redstar kitchen bar. The live music was an exceptional touch, and I can’t wait to return to see what unfold next time the service was exceptional. The bartender to the right was very hospitable. I am not able to judge as I was not there to try it. I was there drinks, and Vibes and that is what I received. Give it a full writing would have to come back and try the food and maybe hopefully not be surrounded with kids as well but overall a good time in southern part of Illinois Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This place was TOP notch all around. The lamb chops and grits was so good! Also had the pecan praline french toast..amazing. A flight of long island and mimosas. Definitely will come back again. Food was not good at all but the service was great the girl waiters were super friendly. I dined In yesterday night and the burger i ordered tasted like it had soy in it was not all beef and it was dry unfortunately so they took that back and I ordered a jerk potato got that it was super greasy and salty I just got tired of complaining so I just kept it but the drinks were delicious and the water was good lol oh and my cousin she ordered sum type of chicken wings which were over cooked as fries were over done as well we’re definitely not going here again this place is overrated the DJ was cool tho kept a nice vibe. Beautifully Imperfect

The restaurant has all the potential to be perfect minus the time it takes for food to be prepared and arrive. Myself and my two cousin had reservations for 5pm. We got there at 4:45. We didn’t leave until 7:30. The problem is our food arrived one by one, with an extensive amount of time in between time that once one party was almost done eating then here came the next person food. I didn’t get my food until 7. Meanwhile my two cousins had already finished their food. However, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was entertaining, the live band had everyone engaged, and the drinks were yummy. Also, it should be noted that there is 18% gratuity added to your tables, so be prepared. It wasn’t a problem for us as majority of restaurants now add gratuities in, but I am aware how some guest are. All in all I’ll definitely go back again. No major issues it could’ve simply been because it was the weekend and they could’ve been backed up or short staffed in the kitchen. All in all give them a try I’m sure you all will enjoy l. RedStar in Matteson has always taken great care of me! I enjoy the friendly service and the food is amazing I ate through most of the menu and I can say the chefs back there know what they’re doing. The drinks are always good too the food is so good you sometimes forget that it’s a bar lol but it’s always a plus when they are showing NFL football on Sundays I go and watch the Bears win while eating brunch also the live bands on Saturday are Perfect for date night with the misses.
