Just stopped in for a latte but my husband couldn't resist the sound of the mushroom crepe and man, was it good. We split it, it was huge and packed with flavorful mushrooms, onion (but not too many because I'm not a cooked onion lover) and yummy cheese. The crepe itself was fantastic too. It was a struggle not to try other things. I don't think you can go wrong here. Great service too! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This place is excellent! Had the fresh orange juice and a crepe. Both were great. Service was fast and staff were friendly. It’s located off the main strip so less crowded and just generally a more pleasant atmosphere. I would recommend Purple Owl over any of the restaurants on the main strip. Tasty food, I love the vegan options and the variety. It's a hidden gem! Pretty interior and very friendly staff. Very nice atmosphere. And most of all everything was delicious. Good vegan cheese used on our tartine focaccias Fun Guy and spinach&feta and delicious vegan banana cake. We also got two hot drinks, ube tea and white mocha made with coconut milk. You can choose your milk from regular, oat, coconut. The menu is awesome because they can make almost everything both ways, regular or vegan. There is many of vegetarian dishes and many dishes with meat too. We really loved it . Delicious delicious delicious. this same food would be more expensive at a place in LA. we got the biscuits and gravy and the buratta tartine. and the chocolate marshmallow cookie and cookie dough cupcake. the cupcake tasted like slightly underdone pancake in the best way. highly recommend visiting!!!! Best coffee in Julian and so much less crowded than everything on the main street. Such a great atmosphere, lots of seating indoor and outdoor, very friendly for kids (books, games), and has wifi. Very nice vibe just a two block walk from the main drag away from the crowds. Espresso drinks, chill music, board games, free WiFi, savory and sweet crèpes made with care on the property. Feels like a locals place. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
