At its best, this location is slow and inconsistent. At its worst, you'll pay, be told to park, then all the employees will seemingly disappear and you'll eventually leave without your food rather than continue to sit and wait. And apparently when there are 2 drive thru customers and no one in the dining area, this is busy enough to throw this location into chaos. Stay away. There's 3 other chicken places within 1/4 mile.

FOR PEOPLE WHO MAKE $15 AN HOUR OR MORE.
When I went it was Sunday night when I got there there was no one in the parking lot except for cars of people who work there, Within a couple of minutes two cars went through the drive-thru with no problem, I heard them say "Can I take your order" as soon as they pulled up. So I can already tell it's going to be a restaurant where most of the people go through the drive-thru instead of going in.
Yet I went in it was clean NO roaches like in some established restaurants in the area.....
The staff was very friendly and very helpful. I do not eat spicy food so I got the honey barbecue, tasted all right to me.
But wow is this place expensive. I did not get a family dinner and it's perhaps a good thing I did not very very pricey for a fast food restaurant.
Working man's menu was high but not as high as I thought it would be. Only about a dollar or two higher than what you would pay at another chicken place.

It is easy to get to as it is just off highway 74 in Forest City ( also known as college avenue) it is across from a car dealership and in front of and just to the the right of Lowe's.

Had coupon 8411 for 5 pice chicken 2 reg sides and 2 biscuits for 9.99. Told them please no wings and could I get 3 legs and 2 thighs. They said absolutely. I live 20 minutes from there. When I got home I had 2 legs and a wing and no biscuits. It's too far to drive back so I called 9 times and no answer. First time eating at our new Popeyes and the last. No wonder there was nobody in the drive thru or inside dinning.

Popeyes is the best chicken place on the planet. This place CLEARLY has a MANAGEMENT problem. I feel the staff would perform much better and food would be ready when you order it rather than a five minute wait on this and a 12 minute wait on that. This falls on the management.how is it at 5 o’clock, dinner time that you don’t have fried chicken ready to go. Isn’t this supposed to be a fried chicken place. Get your game face on because you’re giving Popeyes a blackeye and that upsets me because like I said… Best chicken on the planet. Tighten up guys. We love you now. Get your game face on go to work. A friendly word to the wise: this is a chicken place and you should have chicken ready to go. And if you want to sell any of the extras like the desserts, you should also have them ready to go. Everyone there seem to be in a days in a complete state of confusion. They didn’t know which way was what what was up what was down. Absolutely pathetic Popeyes please come save the store. There’s no excuse why you shouldn’t blow all these other garbage chicken places out of the water. I’m very disappointed. Oh, and the chicken was undercooked inside and overcooked outside. I don’t know what that’s all about. That is never happened to me at Popeyes before. There are some folks in Burlington at Popeyes. That would probably love to come up here and show you guys what you’re supposed to do. i’ll be back but it better be better next time

We were so excited to FINALLY get a Popeyes in the area. We went for the first time 4 days ago. I was hesitant as a lot of bad reviews have been posted. We gave it a shot anyway. Food was fresh and hot, staff was very friendly and polite, store was clean. My companion and I both got the 2 piece combo, white meat…1 regular, 1 spicy, 1 mashed potato and 1 red beans. Everything was very flavorful. I really wanted the 3 piece tenders combo but the price was $13 and some change. I realize food prices are up all over , but that’s the price I would expect to pay at a decent table service restaurant, not for counter service fast food. All in all, we were happy and will go back.

We ate there on Christmas Eve. Everyone was friendly, and our sandwiches were great and made perfect. Big, juicy, fried perfectly.
This location was out of forks and some other things due to the holidays and family gatherings, etc, but that wasn't a big deal.

This Restaurant does NOT want your business!
This is my 3rd visit since they opened several months ago. I went the first week (bad experience), a week ago (problems), and today (terrible).
Arrived in the 2nd drive-through lane at 3:58PM. A few seconds before me, another car entered the 1st drive-through lane. The store had no inside customers. There was no one in the drive through at the building.
Within a minute, someone said to car #1 – “We’ll be with you in a minute.”
A few minutes later, someone said to my car – “We’ll be with you in a few minutes.”
A few minutes later, someone started taking the 1st car’s order.
After waiting a total of 5+ minutes, someone finally took my order. I ordered “Two Apple Pies for $2.50” (per the menu board).
I got to Window #1 and someone was inside, but, we sat waiting for more than 5 minutes. After that time, I knocked on the window to ask what was going on… not sure what the answer was, but finally, Jasmine said “the GM says to give you the two apple pies at the regular price ($1.89) minus a senior discount”. Basically, she said she was charging me a dollar more than she was supposed to.
I showed her a picture of the menu board showing $2.50. She said (several times) – “Our system doesn’t have that in it” and she made it clear that she would not fix the price under any circumstances. She said “I texted the GM and that is what she said to do”.
I had mentioned to the GM a week ago that if she didn’t want to sell things at the advertised price, she could put a Band-Aid over the price she wouldn’t honor… that didn’t happen. The GM said (a week ago), that she would train all of her team on how to handle the matter so that the correct price would be charged, even though the system wasn't properly configured. That never happened.
Overall, this restaurant is not one I will ever go back to. If they can’t honestly charge customers what the menu says, they should just close the doors.
And, having me wait more than 10 minutes with an empty restaurant before they even think about asking me to pay means they don’t know how to do this.

I am always pleased with the food and quality thereof; by far my favorite chicken ever. I usually get 36 nuggets which lasts me at least a couple of meals and is very appropriately priced. One thing I would like to have change is the efficiency or at least timeliness of service. When I order via the app, there is always a wait when I arrive to pick it up. The staff are always friendly, though, so that is a point to their credit. Overall, very pleased with this location and intend to continue being a customer.

Overpriced & the coleslaw was sour & when my mom brought it back she said that people had been saying that all day so why have y’all continued to serve it!!!!! My mom ordered spicy chicken but got regular!!!! We spent $50 & it definitely wasn’t worth it!!! Also the Mac and cheese was mushy with brown cheese like it had been sitting there all day without being changed!!! The shrimp were rubbery!!! We’re from Texas so we were exited to see a Popeyes chicken restaurant but we will never eat at this one again!!! Y’all need to find a new manager along with new employees!!! Find ones that actually care about the food they serve!!!! As well as finding employees that wont keep serving sour food after people have told them the coleslaw was sour,what exactly are y’all trying to do??? Make people sick?!?!?!?!?!?!!!! The employees there should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! & as far as the owners go find another manager!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm really surprised to see all the negative reviews. I had a great lunch here today and I absolutely plan to go back! The chicken was fresh and tasty. I can tell the mac and cheese was made to order. The frozen lemonade was amazing!! My favorite in the county. Also wanna give a shout-out to Shoshanna for being an awesome host and going above and beyond in welcoming customers. Only suggestion I would have is to get some more seating inside. Otherwise, the place is pretty and clean.
