Both the New London & Norwich Popeyes do not make the food fresh to order. Not even the french fries they are reheated and hard. Those two need to be shut down. If you want the sandwiches made fresh, you have to go to Groton. And even in Groton, if you get a bucket of chicken, I suggest you go inside so you can get a batch of chicken that they just cooked. Truly the worst Popeyes I’ve ever had. I’ve had the fish sandwich at two other Popeyes, and both clearly had fresh fish/cooked to order. This one fed me something that had to have been made hours ago. Different texture, temperature, taste, size, everything. It could not have been worse. Without fail every single time I have ordered from the New London location they have messed up my order, the final straw was two months ago when I ordered the chicken tender dinner and they gave me the wrong order, I went inside and let them know, staff at the time refused to correct it, the order I received was less expensive then what I paid for, a total rip off. what an absolute joke of an establishment, If I want Popeyes in my local area I'm better off taking my business to the Groton location where at least they get my order correct. Every 5 star review below mine is fake, and most likely written by an employee or manager. Trust the locals we'd rather take our business to the Groton or Norwich places instead. LITERALLY TOP DOWN WORST EMPLOYEES IVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. My fiancé and I ordered from this location a handful of times. Always something missing, or never the right drinks, or sauce etc. When we go back to have our ordered corrected we are questioned like we are in the wrong and looked at like we r just trying to get free food. This last visit however was when we decided we will take the drive to Groton every time instead. We placed a mobile order around 7:30pm. Pulled up to drive thru around 8:05pm. Asked if we could switch the drink to a strawberry lemonade from a mango lemonade and was told no because it was an up charge. We said we can pay the difference no problem but was told no since it was an online order. So we pull up to the window and the lady, looked like the manager comes to the window and asks what was the name on the order, she claimed she didn’t have an order for that name. We heard another employee say they had the ticket right here and she still claimed the ticket wasn’t there and she couldn’t make the order so we can contact customer service if we wanted further help. There was nothing she could do for us. 10/10 will never go to this location again and highly recommend that no one else does either. We just recently went there to get chicken sandwiches and unfortunately they didn’t have any available but the lady behind the counter made it work even when it looked like they were pretty low staffed while there was people in the drive through also.
