Food was very good. I shared the fajitas for 2 with my wife and it was enough for three. The service was bad. The hostess was downright rude. Greeted us with a big frown on her face and said, how many. Then walked us to our table plopped down our menus and walked away without saying a word. The waitress was super busy and did a decent job. They really needed another waitress to help. Having said all that, I think this is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. Service was great. Food was yummy as usually. Sorry, I can't seem to remember to take photos of food before I start to dig in, so this will have to do. I got the Ranchero Special. Thankfully, they could accommodate the 1 chicken enchilada with more rice. I also ordered an Frozen Exotico Margarita with a sugar rim, which was also good. So many people said the service is not the best. I walked in for the first time and stood up front waiting for someone to come and take my money, I mean order for way to long. I live 5 minutes from this place and disappointed already. This maybe my first and last time here. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Why can’t I get the correct amount of shrimp? For years and years and years the fajitas for two came with 8 shrimp; over the years I’ve been shorted a single shrimp maybe twice…in other words very rare, and I understand mistakes happen. I ordered fajitas for two (to go) Wednesday October 18 around 5:30, got home (which is 25 minutes away so I wasn’t going back, not worth it), and only got 5 shrimp. I ordered fajitas for two again this past Thursday November 2, also to go and around 5:30. I get home and only 7 shrimp. And it doesn’t make sense they’re cutting back on the portion of shrimp and giving an odd number of shrimp to split between 2 people. And I doubt the cook just doesn’t care enough to count out 8 shrimp, especially twice in a row like that. Then it hit me; my best guess is there is someone walking, or packing the food to go, or somewhere along the way between when my food leaves the grill and I get it, who is grabbing a shrimp (or 3) out of my food to eat while working. And then I wonder, if that is the case, who’s possibly/probably dirty hands are in my food before I get. Quite disappointed, and now between my 2 orders in the last 2 weeks, I feel like Plaza Azteca has stolen 1 out of the 4 portions of shrimp out of my fajitas I ordered. The food was good though, and I’ll give them another chance in the future, just so irritated over the shrimp, especially as that’s what we look forward to the most. I’ve been a patron and friend to Plaza for many many years. Great place! Great food and even better margaritas! Family friendly too. Highly recommend! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I had dinner at Plaza Azteca with my husband and I was highly disappointed! We don’t mind waiting a little longer for our food, as long as they keep the chips and salsa coming… but no, they make you wait and wonder what’s going on. One of the waitresses noticed we were out of chips and offered to go get us some more, but she never came back (we weren’t a fan of the salsa anyway). While my husband ordered tacos and enjoyed them, my “chimichanga ” should have never left the kitchen!!! The menu says that the chimichangas are “flour tortillas filled with chicken, cheese sauce and sour cream”, but all I got was 2 tortillas filled with some dry chicken (terrible presentation, btw)! I had chicken and tortillas at home, I could’ve done it a lot better! I will never come back!

Service is mediocre at best. Chimichangas are decent. Margaritas are almost $20 a piece and they’re okay - nothing spectacular. Overall I’d give this place 2.5 out of 5, and that’s being extremely generous. Much better options in the area but this place is okay I guess. I personally probably won’t come back but if you like decent food with mediocre service, this is the place for you. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
My husband and I decided to stop in around 6 pm on Valentines day. They were very busy, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes or so. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. I was very happy to see that they have a vegan/vegetarian section on the menu. I ordered the vegan Burrito and it was good! The tofu could have used some seasoning, but it was nothing a bit of salt couldn't fix. The food took a bit to come out, and before taking a bite I realized there was a hair sitting in the cheese on top of my Burrito. The waitress was very apoplectic and I received my new plate about 5 minutes later with no issues. The drinks are pretty big and the lemonade was good. Overall, with how busy the restaurant was, I felt well taken care of and our glasses were refilled without having to ask. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was very nice and cozy. I'd eat here again. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Chips and Salsa
