Very busy place on this Saturday night. The crew headed up by a Caucasian bearded guy did a great job (I didn't get his name but he said he was a manager). Sure, they ran out of stuff occasionally, but it was refilled fast and was hot and fresh! I was impressed with the number of staff on duty as well. It seems like so many places these days aren't well staffed on their busy nights/days/times. I'll definitely keep coming back here. No service was necessary. The food choice was really well created. This P.R. is 100% better than Marshalltown one. More choices of food,fresh and appetizing. We have stopped going to the Marshalltown facility They work around like they want to hurry to get off work. They let the food run out and never replace. I ordered food to go. The cashier at the Marshalltown store asked me (after paying),to park over away from the building to wait. After 30+ minutes, I saw a man walk out the back door. I drove over and asked if he was off duty. He said no, he was the cook. I asked if someone took over, and he said no. I drove to the window and asked where my order. She said she'd check. I asked for my money back. Food: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Myself and 2 of my grandkids have set out to find the best ice cream in Iowa and started a journey journal. Pizza Ranch (Ames) has Good food and service. Staff very friendly and were not overwhelming in your face like some places which helped with the fact they only have a small soft serve. We all knew that we just wanted to go to pizza ranch. They still got good rating in our journey journal with 5 stars from 2 of us and 5 hearts from our 3 partner. It's worth taking the time to go there Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I was at your Ames location this morning. Someone brought in donuts for our group & was informed your new policy was no outside food because you did not want to lose revenue from selling food. This is poor policy for a restaurant. Restaurants rely on keeping their customers happy. The only thing restrictions like this accomplish is 'ticking off' people. When customers are ticked off, a) they stop being your customers & b) they tell anyone who will listen why they do not want to go to your restaurant [who tell other people, etc.] To make matters more ludicrous, donuts are not a food item that Pizza Ranch sells.
